Riddle of the day

That's a pretty weak riddle. I guess he calls himself the riddler like tall people are called shorty.

If it's so weak what is the answer?

Bring back Nudge and Chilliboy

This riddle stuff is all too much for the time poor people

Put some effort into it, ffs 'has two first names' is primary school level.

Although unlikely after his recent call to arms with his current list. The answer is Rory Sloane. Grew up in the eastern suburb of Knox.

EDIT - This may have legs actually. Simon Goodwin was his Captain and mentor for his first 2 years at the Crows.

I would never indulge in such pie in the sky rumours but ever since we landed Roosy....

After speaking to a board member whom I cannot name, I have some very important information hidden in this riddle:

Which former man from the street of knox has grown tired of being a bird and is looking to join the red and blue?

I thought I had this worked out

Former man - means he is now a woman

Street of knox - again - a little obvious - knox - being short for knockers - having a nice set of knockers

tired of being a bird - over the whole woman thing and wants to comes back to being a man again

and join the red and blue.......

Up until the last clue you were describing Jack Watts but he is already with the red and blue...

You could have argued that Jack Watts wasn't fully committed to enough contests last season so in a philosophical sense wanted to get fully involved in 2015 thereby looking to join the red and the blue.

Scott Selwood?

Clue: he has one brother that plays football, and another that doesn't

Hey Riddle, I really hope there is something behind this because I am rapidly losing faith of getting anything/anyone from this trade period. Even Frost is starting to look a bit doubtful. HL isn't over the line either.

If you are just amusing yourself, it is time to stop! Otherwise, it will be another hope-killer thread and I will be overcome by the MFCSS all over again. I suspect many other DL's also will. No more games please folks.

Hope MFC still has a few cards up its sleeve...please....

Not Scott Selwood or Rory Sloane. But does play for an interstate club...

Rhyce Shaw?

Reid.

WTF am I doing contributing to this thread???

A Crouch brother?

Kennedy

Kieren Jack

I don't know about board member, but his dad is Gary Jack.

Kennedy

we could be getting his brother John F Kennedy

Talia?

Close but think bigger. This could be a huge coup if the rumblings are true

FFS just tell us.

It's hard enough being a dees supporter without having to try and guess wtf is going on.

X man Dan Hannebery. Not sur about the other references other than he visited Knox Grammar.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
