Ox is just saying, virtually word for word, what GNF posted.

Have the Ox and GNF ever been seen together in the same room? Hmmm.

Just in case anyone thinks the mods here get pleasure spending their time hiding and/or deleting and/or censoring posts, handing out warnings, suspensions etc., we don't.

However, if we experience a repeat of some of the stupidity displayed during the day today, then you can expect to spend some time away from this site in the future.

Thanks.

For those of us interstate who dont get the Seven program until 12.30 am "live" can someone post a summary of what he says.. Thanks

I will soon find out as I know the OX from growing up in sunbury

That confirmed to be that the OX info is GNF post.

Because he's got good sources and this is where Melbourne supporters come to get information?

Everyone was hoping he'd comment, given he was the first to make the statement that Clark is a strong chance to return to footy.

I'm really confused by why you're confused. His motivation was to keep us informed on a subject we all clearly care a lot about.

I'd rather hear what he has to say, then read yet another "Watts sux" thread, or have a thousand posts everytime Damien Berrett says something negative about our club.

Do you not think the club has the right to tell its own story, once everything has played out? Which it clearly hasn't by the way, given that the stories in the media are conflicting.

Anyway, glad GNF's post made you feel better :)

Pretty sure there will be approximately 1000 posts leading up to the program and 4000 posts after it.

You'll get a summation, and then you'll get days of analysis.

I wasn't. Surely he knew the supporter base would go in to meltdown.

Let the club and Mitch tell their own story. If you have "inside info", keep it to yourself. He does not have the right to tell the club's point of view.

You tell me - what good has come from GNF's post?

The good is that we supporters get to know the truth instead of club spin, player lies and media BS

One of the main reasons people come here

GNF responsible for the behaviours of posters in here??

Can't be serious!!

( Hi Ox- love your work....)

"MFC Blindsided"

As many of you know, I have excellent contacts in the MFC at administration and board level. Over recent years despite the roll over of staff I have been able to maintain these contacts and often share some of what I am hearing with my fellow heavy hearted Dees members via this forum. After the weekends revelations I did not want to make comment on the MC situation until I had made the contact with my sources. This what I have been told.

  • The decision to retire from AFL was always with MC health in mind. In reality it was always a break that may have become permanent rather than a retirement. MC always (even at the time of retirement) maintained ambitions to play again, play for the MFC and repay the MFC and its faithful for its investment and support. The decision to retire was ONLY to give MC the best chance of recovery by taking all pressure off him. The full process of playing in 2015 were set out in the retirement discussions. MC only ever expressed complete desire and loyalty to the MFC. As such MFC continued to support MC in the ABSOUTE belief that if fit he would play for MFC. Essentially the ball was left with MC. MC has been in regular contact with fitness staff and coaches and on a MFC derived fitness plan.
  • MCs return to physical and mental health has been fantastic. So much so that up until about 2 weeks ago, the MFC were extremely confident he would be recontracted to play for the MFC in 2015. In fact the confidence I was hearing from within the club was much greater than what I expressed on Demonland. MFC were 100% certain that if MC did play it would be only in red & blue and it seemed the only question would be whether to rookie him or place him on the senior list.
  • Approx. two weeks ago MC manager was contacted as to whether MC would attend the Best & Fairest and also to initiate contract discussions. Misson had been training with MC that day and had been excited by MC developing fitness. Contact between the club, MC, and his manager has been ongoing and until this point there had been no hint of dissatisfaction or expressed desire to play for anyone else. It was at this time that MC manager let the MFC know that MC did not wish to play for MFC next year and wanted to play for another Melbourne club.
  • The club was completely blindsided. Roos had steam coming out of his ears. I have been told by one of my sources that Roos almost blew a blood vessel.

I think its fair to say, that Roos dig in his best fairest speech was directed squarely at MC.

As always thank you for the intel GNF, if this eventuates I along with every other MFC supporter will feel completely gutted.

Maybe via GNF and Ox the club is telling its own story...

haha yeah I wouldn't worry too much Robbie57, you will probably find a word or two about on the site lol

Fair enough. I guess we can agree that the Ox and GNF have the same source.

I have never seen Ox and GNF in the same room at the same time...just sayin...

I had a a problem with depression a long while ago it never leaves you,you are always on the alert for the tell tale signs it will return, docs advise it takes 2-5 yrs to recover it took me 5yrs .Mitch is a fraud ,a little boy who wants all the toys ,sure he can play ,but if it rains will he turn up ,the big sook .

Sorry to hear that you had a problem with depression. However, as I do charitable work with an organisation that helps people suffering mental illnesses, can I say that whilst I'm by no means an expert, there are many different types of depression and there are a number that can be treated successfully in a variety of ways. A complete cure cannot always be assured in every case but it's important to know that help is available.

Based on what's been written here, I don't think it's possible for anyone to reach your conclusion that Mitch is a "sook". He was suffering clinical depression. It is being treated and if he's following the recommendations of professionals who are we to judge whether what he's doing is right or wrong?

At which point the site will go into meltdown and the mods won't have to shut it down to enforce a cooling-off period on us. :o

  • PREVIEW: North Melbourne

Can you believe it? After a long period of years over which Melbourne has dominated in matches against North Melbourne, the Demons are looking down the barrel at two defeats at the hands of the Kangaroos in the same season. And if that eventuates, it will come hot on the heels of an identical result against the Gold Coast Suns. How have the might fallen? There is a slight difference in that North Melbourne are not yet in the same place as Gold Coast. Like Melbourne, they are currently situated in the lower half of the ladder and though they did achieve a significant upset when the teams met earlier in the season, their subsequent form has been equally unimpressive and inconsistent.

  • REPORT: Adelaide

The atmosphere at the Melbourne Football Club at the beginning of the season was aspirational following an injury-plagued year in 2024. Coach Simon Goodwin had lofty expectations with the return of key players, the anticipated improvement from a maturing group with a few years of experience under their belts, and some exceptional young talent also joining the ranks. All of that went by the wayside as the team failed to click into action early on. It rallied briefly with a new strategy but has fallen again with five more  consecutive defeats.
