I'm at the draft camp now having a look and wow Petracca is a unit! Has that big backside big leg look and looks very sharp. I'd put some photos up but feel like a creep taking them

Taking pictures of Petracca's backside would be very creepy indeed deeko. Unless of course, he goes to the Saints, where nude selfies are club policy.

Better look elsewhere this kid cant last 3 k

With one lap to go in the 3km time trial, Christian Petracca has pulled out. Looks to be limping a bit #DraftCombine

Clearly doesnt want the Saints to take him so he can get to the MFC :)

Looks like he wants to be a demon.

Because he's injured and couldn't finish a 3km time trial?

It's the melbourne way. Drafted Scully with a shot knee..

Melbourne are playing an exceptional game of bluff here.

We are jostling with the Bulldogs with the idea that they want a key forward (McCartin or wright) at number 2.

This won't happen unless the bullies give up something exceptional which we don't think they will. This is the bluff. We will threaten this trade all the way up until Friday to see if Saints pull the trigger on the below deal. Hence why we are making it known we are talking to the bullies.

This leaves saints thinking that they may miss out on the tall they want if they do the GWS deal involving jaksch and o rourke due to the bullies potentially getting pick 2. Meaning Saints hold their number 1 pick and take a forward and hence leaving petracca to us.

Brilliant strategy dees! Just brilliant!

If anyone understands what I've just written, have confidence we will get our man

Brayshaw.

Yeah nah no game of bluff I believe we're genuily shopping 2 around for a player and a slight downgrade, I think we're more keen on Brayshaw by the sounds of it anyway.

Something about drafting petracca scares me. Can't quite put my finger on it

Does anyone know why Petracca pulled out of the 3km time trial with a lap to go?

Who do you think that is?

Especially brilliant as none of the other Clubs read DEMONLAND!

Who was suggesting they do? It's being played out in the media.

Seriously, some ppl!

Wouldn't matter if they did read Demonland.

This all depends on who we want and who Saints want. If saints give up pick we know it is not Petracca. We just warn them if they trade pick they lose McCartin. Simple really

If opposition scouts and its managers are reading opposition fan forums to gain insights into who they should be drafting and trading then god help them (although if you're Barry Prendergast then it would help).

I like the idea that we play it straight with using picks 2 and 3 on Petracca and Brayshaw... and scare GWS off from Christian.

Or force GWS to deal with us rather than the Saints to get access to Petracca with pick 2...

And hope like hell they are the real deal and we can develop them into the champs we need.

A mate at work said that he think Petracca will slip to their second round pick... Typical Collinwood.

Surprised he could count to 2.

Tell him Beams has also been cleared to Lions for pick 98.

Great use of counter-intelligence, put Mark on the radio and all of a sudden clubs are running for the hills

On Friday night it's a blockbuster at the G as the Magpies look to extend their top of the table winning streak while the Hawks strive to bounce back from a couple of recent defeats and stay in contention for the Top 4. On Saturday the Suns, buoyed by 3 wins on the trot, face the Dockers in a clash crucial for both teams' aspirations this season. • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

The media has performed a complete reversal in its coverage of the Melbourne Football Club over the past month and a half. Having endured intense criticism from all quarters in the press, which continually identified new avenues for scrutiny of every aspect, both on and off the field, and prematurely speculated about the departures of coaches, players, officials, and various employees from a club that lost its first five matches and appeared out of finals contention, the narrative has suddenly shifted to one of unbridled optimism.  The Demons have won five of their last six matches, positioning themselves just one game (and a considerable amount of percentage) outside the top eight at the halfway mark of the season. They still trail the primary contenders and remain far from assured of a finals berth.

  • REPORT: Sydney

A few weeks ago, I visited a fellow Melbourne Football Club supporter in hospital, and our conversation inevitably shifted from his health diagnosis to the well-being of our football team. Like him, Melbourne had faced challenges in recent months, but an intervention - in his case, surgery, and in the team's case, a change in game style - had brought about much improvement.  The team's professionals had altered its game style from a pedestrian and slow-moving approach, which yielded an average of merely 60 points for five winless games, to a faster and more direct style. This shift led to three consecutive wins and a strong competitive effort in the fourth game, albeit with a tired finish against Hawthorn, a strong premiership contender.  As we discussed our team's recent health improvement, I shared my observations on the changes within the team, including the refreshed style, the introduction of new young talent, such as rising stars Caleb Windsor, Harvey Langford, and Xavier Lindsay, and the rebranding of Kozzy Pickett from a small forward to a midfield machine who can still get among the goals. I also highlighted the dominance of captain Max Gawn in the ruck and the resurgence in form in a big way of midfield superstars Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver.

  • POSTGAME: Sydney

The Demons controlled the contest from the outset, though inaccurate kicking kept the Swans in the game until half time. But after the break, Melbourne put on the jets and blew Sydney away and the demolition job was complete.
