Young aish playing well

Just saw the Heath Shaw incident where he bounced off Kurt Tippetts knee. He is going to have a huge headache.

Might be using a straw for a long time as well. Hope he had a mouth guard.

typical. We cop the good north last week. Why couldnt we get this north.

Our lack of run and pressure allowed the good Norfolk to emerge. Brisbane are fierce at the contest with a superior work rate.

We didn't cop the good north. They were ordinary. We were abysmal.

If the defenceless, forwardless Brisbane who have Stef Martin as their one and only ruckman can beat North - we simply need to beat the Dogs.

Four wins may not be enough to avoid the spoon this season.

One day Brad Scott's head will explode in the box

I do not rate him as a coach/manager at all. He never looks like he's in control, and I think he's part of the reason they are so erratic.

Interesting hand jesture and lip reading from Scott in the box

Zorko held without the ball, then gets it anyway and Swallow slams him into the ground face first.

Free to North.

I swear these umpires are rubbish at their jobs.

Edited by Andrea Pirlo

it would be frustrating to be a north fan. They beat the teams they shouldnt beat and lose to the ones they should beat. This is the team that beat the 2 WA teams in Perth, sydney and port.

If brisbane keep this form up Beamer wont get another game.

I see Buddy has just rolled out another 4 goals.

Close game. Three minutes to go. Lions in front. Could go either way...

Lol.... Norf!!

Great effort by lions. What a way to send browny off and well deserved to a great player and what seems to be a champion bloke.

Brisbane playing well against North. They should be further in front.

The lions get up by 5 points and Rotcliff' has said something to Harvey after the siren that has Boomer going ape Shyte! I reckon Stef Martin put in good one as well. Played like I thought he should have for us and did at times but would then get injured at the wrong time. Good luck to him he has been dogged by injury up there as well.

Sucked in norf u r the biggest pretenders in the 8.

How pathetic were we last wk to lose to these numb nuts. Oh the pain, the pain.

How funny was it seeing Harvey having a tantrum at the end of the game.

Was bloody hilarious and then even funnier I saw Scott talking to rockcliff (don't know the spelling) during Browns presentation. WTF.

They are a true basket case.

U just have to laugh and enjoy it.

Glad to see Brisbane beat the Kangaroos. The most inconsistent side in the comp. Still.

  • PREVIEW: West Coast

It was bad enough that the Melbourne Football Club created yet another humiliating scenario inside its wretched season at Marvel Stadium last Sunday, but the final insult is that it has been commanded to return to the scene of the crime to inflict further punishment on its fans this week. Incidentally, if this match preview, of a game that promises to be one of the most unattractive fixtures in the history of the game, happens to cut out of your computer screen three quarters of the way through, it’s no coincidence. I’ll be mirroring the Demons’ lacklustre effort against St Kilda from last Sunday when they conceded the largest last quarter turnaround for victory in the history of the game.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.

  • CASEY: Sandringham

The Casey Demons rebounded from a sluggish start to manufacture a decisive win against Sandringham in the final showdown, culminating a quarter century of intense rivalry between the fluctuating alignments of teams affiliated with AFL clubs Melbourne and St Kilda, as the Saints and the Zebras prepare to forge independent paths in 2026. After conceding three of the first four goals of the match, the Demons went on a goal kicking rampage instigated by the winning ruck combination of Tom Campbell with 26 hitouts, 26 disposals and 13 clearances and his apprentice Will Verrall who contributed 20 hitouts. This gave first use of the ball to the likes of Jack Billings, Bayley Laurie, Riley Bonner and Koltyn Tholstrup who was impressive early. By the first break they had added seven goals and took a strong grip on the game. The Demons were well served up forward early by Mitch Hardie and, as the game progressed, Harry Sharp proved a menace with a five goal performance. Emerging young forwards Matthew Jefferson and Luker Kentfield kicked two each but the former let himself down with some poor kicking for goal.
Young draft talent Will Duursma showed the depth of his talent and looks well out of reach for Melbourne this year. Kalani White was used sparingly and had a brief but uneventful stint in the ruck.

  • PREGAME: West Coast

The Demons return to the scene of the crime on Saturday to face the wooden spooners the Eagles at the Docklands. Who comes in and who goes out? Like moving deck chairs on the Titanic.

This season cannot end soon enough. Disgraceful.
