Practice Match - Casey Scorpions v Port Melbourne

Featured Replies

Any one have any information regarding MFC players available for Casey selection tomorrow.

All I have picked up is the Jack Viney is likely to line up for the Scorps again.

Anyone planning on doing the Casey/Dees double header?

The Scorpions have a young development league team this year (25 new players) and will struggle for depth. I suspect that lack of cash resources to recruit name players to the senior team is going to affect that aspect and it's playing list will suffer for it. They'll be hoping Melbourne doesn't have a long injury list this year.

At quarter time Port Melbourne lead 4.4.28 to Casey Scorpions 3.1.19 with Dom Barry, Tim Smith and Max Gawn the goal kickers. Will Petropoulos is playing well for the home side.

Who else other than Barry and Gawn from the senior lists are playing please?

According to Twitter the Scorps played a very good second quarter and lead 7.5.47 to 4.5.29. Gawn, Blease, Best and Petropolous have been the best of the first half.

The Casey Scorpions dominated the second quarter to lead 7.5.47 to Port Melbourne 4.5.29.

I'm working today and am relaying scores via SMS from a mate at the ground. I'm off interstate for two months and won't be providing reports until early June.

Always thought Petropolous seemed to be a good young player. Any chance to be rookied by an AFL team one day?

Scorps win after a Neville Jetta goal with a minute to go.

Apparently Port had a kick for goal after the siren and kicked it out on the full.

Whoever had the kick will get an icy reception in the change rooms.

Would like to know how Hunt moved?

I left myself open. How did he play?

Good result. Well done scorps

Someone said on twitter that Blease was starring, and Gawn played a great game.
