The funny thing...the club by not agreeing to a trade for Ryder will end up forcing him to use the get out and he could potentially walk for nothing.

And others may follow.

Also, Elliott Kavanagh (whose dad played silly buggers to essentially manipulate the draft to get Elliott to his beloved Bombers) is looking at opportunities elsewhere too...

Winderlich has decided to reverse his retirement decision and play on…with the Tiges!

Wants to play out his career away from the 'uncertainty' of Essendon's current situation.

Essendon are going to be stuffing a world record number of pages into their fax machine at 1.59pm next Friday.

what was the story there?

what was the story there?

Story was Elliott's dad had allegedly threatened officials from a club that was picking ahead of the Bombers (thought to be the Kangaroos), and that the club had lodged a complaint with the AFL. Nothing came of it, but Kavanagh, who had been a tip to go around the 14 - 17 mark, got to the Bombers at 19.

Was thought to be a coup, but he hasn't had much of a run at it since. This was after Bombers allegedly circulated information about Dyson Heppell's dodgy knee the previous year.

in all seriousness I almost applaud that rotten place for its determination to stay afloat. It must be so much in the red that black cant ever be seen as a point of destination lol

They should be kicked out of the AFL to make room for a more deserving team.

I feel so, so bad for any kids in this year's draft that are at risk of going to Essendon. Just imagine how mortified their parents will be on draft night seeing their son shake Hird's hand as they're handed the guernsey.

The stuff of nightmares.

DITCHA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I attended some of the training today. Richo spoke to me and said not to believe what is in the media, as we will good this year. Jefferson and Kentfield looked big and strong.  Petty was doing all the training. Adams looked like he was in rehab.  KE

2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
