I like how he said that tynan and taggert are understood to be out of contract. He could have called ME and I could have confirmed this for him. Perhaps jay was told to stay away from the bombers stuff and had no idea what to do. I do like the bit about Adams though

i don't disagree but all his statements are read as alledged

Someone better tell Dean Kent he is a mature aged 19 year old.

The article also says Pederson is contracted until next season. Is this right? I thought he was signed for 3 years. Fingers crossed the club only signed him for 2 yrs

also calls a kent a mature ager.. what a f'ing moron this guy is! pedo got a 3 yr conract, not 2. only thing nice to read was the tayla adams mention

It's seems the facts are wrong on a few levels. Can only hope the Adams part is correct. I don't hold much hope though.

I cant help but note that the glaring disparity between us and successful teams is obviously the list. Good teams have balanced and working lists whereby they only expect and/or need a couple of their newbies , their up and comers to do exactly that...come up. We at Melbourne desperately await half a dozen kids to be our saviours..Who else spots the imbalance here?

I reckon a dozen will go at seasons end. Theres just no point hanging on to the nqr's.

Glaring holes in the article but the nucleus is right. Its cleanout mk11 ( or is that 111...IV ? who can keep up )

Viney is "the new list chief?"

Didn't see that appointment on the website...

That was an utterly hopeless article.

Learnt absolutely nothing from it.

I learnt that Sylvia 'apparently' has finals ambitions. That's new to me after watching him play for the last 8 years!

Designed to be catnip for dees supporters.

Might be a bit off to the letter, but not far off the broad truth of it all.

The surprising thing to me is that these decisions are (possibly) being made before a coach has been appointed.

Who's driving the ship ??

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourne’s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last year’s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although it’s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sunday’s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to fool’s gold.
