Watts waiting on coaching appointment

Treated badly by who?

Posters? Oh.

Mark Neeld, he said himself in not so many words they didn't get along real well, Dean bailey threw him in the deep end far too soon.

Just loved the way Watts crashed a pack up forward for us today and skittled two of the Giants.

I saw it. It happened.

We need Watts

There are many others to delist before him.

No more sooki lalas at Melbourne please

Any of Eade Choco or Roos are decent coaches. If he cant sign ...well....WATT can I say

The Club's fault?

Not his?

The fact that he refuses to impose himself on a contest has been Neeld's fault, Bailey's fault, the MFC's fault.

Fair enough.

The thing I find most interesting that Roos think Watts could be a great footballer but some here think we should let him go, so with that if Roos coaches us and keep him then Roos is a spud of a coach as he cannot read what makes a footballer!! Interesting.

It's both really, you can't tell me Watts wouldn't be a better player if he was drafted to Geelong or Sydney?

Better player in the twos.

Wouldn't get a game.

Then quite frankly hes soft.. Watt we need are more of the likes of Jones' temperment and effort . How is it such a player of this ilk can play despite the f ups of coaches weve had ??

You as an individual are always responsible for the path you take. You have choices. . Nathan has choices.. Jackie boy does to. Lets not put all the excuses of lack of development in the "oh its someone elses fault "

Just so folks get me. .I would really , REALLY like WATTs to come good. He is talented, he has skills. but like someone ( sorry cant remember who butits good ) suggested its like the Wiz of OZ.. He needs to find something.

I cant believe these lads on SO much money need someone tohold their f'n hands all the time..

Grow up , harden up you lot....soft lazy bustards

I agree that he shouldn't be on our list in 2014, not the type we need, stands for what's wrong with MFC.

How not so strange...eh Mick !!

Watts on offer Mick ?? Even I will listen to offers now.

Was Mick mentoring or grooming him last year?

Garlett and theyr first rounder

I thought I heard recently Yarran is out of contract and Mick refused to speculate when asked about him.

Was Mick mentoring or grooming him last year?

certainly in his ear...funny that

You're kidding. Waiting to see who's going to be coach??? Not worth two bob. Runs, sorry, jogs around all day with no idea what he's doing. He couldn't run guts for a slow butcher.

Get rid of him quick. And while we're at it, get rid of the No.4 jumper as well. They've been duds for nearly 20 years.

Ok he's gone. Much better for him. Why does everyone on demonland talk about jack. Because we can all see he's good, just not showing it. It's probably good for him and us for him to leave, he might never be good at MFC and if he becomes good somewhere else good luck to him because we have treated him like absolute shite and should just say goodluck.

Thats bull [censored], the kids got no heart and he doesn't give a [censored], TRADE.

i wouldnt rule him wanting out. What incentive to stay. really

Roos maybe

Fine, then let's not whine if he leaves. I think it will be best for both parties. I just don't want to here the talk of him being disloyal. You either wànt him or you don't.

Have always stood up for Watts, and I do still hope he stays and gets it going, but he was PATHETIC today.

Today he played like the Watts that everyone who doesn't rate him thinks he plays like.

Likewise Stuie. I've always defended him and stated how I think he'll become a very good player for us.

Today however the penny dropped for me. There was absolutely no reason why Watts shouldn't have been playing with intent and aggression, especially as he was playing against mostly boys. He will take the Sylvia path I'm sure - he has supreme talent but doesn't apply himself on field (can't comment on his training output) and is extremely lethargic. He'll always be inconsistent and extremely frustrating and his attitude is one I definitely don't want at the MFC.

Right now we need strong leaders, not blokes who are whining about who's going to do it for them.

I can't wait to see the back of him.

Lets go one better, he must not be played AGAIN. We all want a culture, let this kick it off, if you don't want to play for the jumper.....sodd off!

Garlett and theyr first rounder

garlett

run when he wanted the ball

stood still when time was to chase and pick up backman running downfield

lays tackles with one hand slap to side of body

yep we better get him

If we trade out any players then it's for mids or picks. (but mids preferably - and good one). Otherwise let him walk. Let GWS take him and we can have their #1 pick. I really don't care as long as we don't bend over to let him (or others) walk to the club they want and we get a nqr spud in return.

Would we miss him and could always do with the cash to recruit someone else.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
