MFC board meeting - 12 PM

Rumours that McLardy will step down, not sure how accurate they are though.

Of course the big question is will Neeld be sacked? Neil Craig will also be present at the board meeting by the way.

Maybe Neeld is going to be sacked and McLardy is going to resign as a sign of taking responsibility for the mandate that Neeld was given (if what Neeld explains is the full truth). Because, if Neeld was given that mandate and it was not made clear to him that he needs to do it whilst maintaining professional level output on the field then the board has to be held accountable in some way.

Then again, they probably would have liked to think he'd assume he needs to maintain some modicum of respectability on the field while he enforces his changes.

Did you get this from the numerous articles that have been reporting the same thing? (in particular about Craig attending the BM as well).

I think the meeting has been moved back to 12 noon.

And I highly doubt that they would sack Mark Neeld and have Don Mclardy resign as the same time..

nope, got it from my sources inside the club

On a par with our playing results, the meeting has been rescheduled to the Haunted House at Luna Park.

SEN has said the meeting is at 12pm

Which means it has just started. WAt least there is plenty of off field intrigue to engage dees fans. Like fawlty towers mixed with West Wing

Hopefully not dubbed over with Benny Hill music.

Neeld to be sacked for tanking list-management practices. McClardy to resign as prez and become interim coach

Neeld is expected to front board at 2pm, but the meeting starts at 12.

Gosh this made me laugh. An ordinary weekend, a stressful day for Dees supporters and you come out with this... cheers!

PS. Maybe your sources read it in the paper too? Pfft....

QUE ???? Mr Fawty... I am from "Farcelona" lol Just saying :)

Any DL member who lists Jurrah, Martin and Gysberts as their favourite players must have their sources questioned...

Lol. Any 'lander who lists current listed players as their favorites as well?

If Don stands down, they won't sack Neeld this week.

If Neeld stands down they won't sack Don ??? Who knows..What a mess whatever happens..Craig would make a better mentor but cannot do much better short term with the current crop..Unfortunately...

SEN has said the meeting is at 12pm

Would it be a fair assumption the meeting has been brought forward to enable a press conference to follow this afternoon?

Lol. Any 'lander who lists current listed players as their favorites as well?

Ha ! Ha ! We STILL retain our sense of humour (Because we have to)

I have been thinking about this meeting today but dont' know if its even worth thinking about because I doubt anything major will happen today and if it does then of course we won't be told about it until ... 7 months or whatever. I think the main thing that Demon fans want are answers and the truth - I hope they do tell us today and don't take months to make a decision!

I am sick of being left in the dark whilst my club deteriorates

Think I'm gonna change mine to Nic Nat, Dusty Martin and Oli Wines. Lol

No.

Don looked stressed out yesterday.

And so he should! pisses me off to see Neeld so calm and say things like "the effort was great..."

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
