Gold Coast V Cats

Maybe we weren't quite as bad as many thought when they beat us???

Interesting to look at gold coast at stoppages and how they roll back in a line across the ground so there are outlets. Surely that's just discipline and Structure and effort

Good point. They are very structured and focused. Quick and hard at it.

Gold Coast are starting to look very very dangerous.

Think we found that out a few weeks back. They're no longer the easy beats, and they're only going to get better.

Next will be GWS.

Did Prestia re-sign or is he OOC at the end of the year?

Not yet but has said he is leaning towards re signing with them soon

How good is Hall for GC no 33,

massive talent

Watching this game shows how many players we are lacking

How good is Hall for GC no 33,

massive talent

Was a cheap pick up in the 2012 pre season draft.

Umps are sorting this out for the Cats.

Slaughter in the last quarter.

Totally agree.

I think the umpiring has been fantastic tonight.

It *has* been.

Haven't paid holding the ball all night.

All of a sudden GC are pinged.

I think the umpiring has been fantastic tonight.

If your'e a Cats supporter!

it ended how you would have thought, but they tried hard GC, just ran out of legs

GC not hitting the scoreboard. Too much inaccuracy. Christ they look quick though. Gonna be a very good team in another year or 2.

they're a good team now, just realising their abilities. they'll be a great team in a couple of years.

posted this a few weeks ago but GC are a serious threat in 2015.

2015, 2016, 2017..........

Final margin really doesn't reflect the game, especially as GC were stiffed early in the final quarter by some umpiring calls. Cats fans would be pretty happy, they got a good game (and a bit of a scare) for 3 quarters, the team still managed a 50pt belting, got a win on their stadiums night debut, and their prodigal son kicked a goal only he could kick. Seriously "freak" is the only term appropriate for him.

We drew with the Cats on their deck to 3/4 time, then we ran out of legs.

Jaegar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GCS are going to smash middle of the road teams this year.

stuie, I told you that they're better than Richmond and you refuted my claim.

What say you now?

  • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

It seems like only yesterday that these two sides faced off against each other in the centre of the continent. It was when Melbourne was experiencing a rare period of success with five wins from its previous six matches including victories over both of last year’s grand finalists.  Well, it wasn’t yesterday but it was early last month and it remains etched clearly in the memory. The Saints were going through a slump and the predicted outcome of their encounter at TIO Traeger Park was a virtual no-brainer. A Melbourne victory and another step closer to a possible rise into finals contention. Something that was unthinkable after opening the season with five straight defeats.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.
