But it was a really long, elite kick.

Perhaps, but it was just a touch too long and floated out on the full IIRC.

A lot of Demon kicks today were just a touch too long. Others were just a touch too sh1te.

A shorter kick can be compensated, even Howe struggles with the 'over-the-headers'.

N Jones had our most tackles at 7

Its pretty simple. You have to look at games like this and 186 and work out who tries. The ones that don't F*** them off.

As for the coach. Well he can't coach. Talked tough. But was a failure. Am using past tense because he couldnt possibly be here beyond today.

Should fly home separately.

Freo had 14 players who had 7 or more Who wants a conversation about effort??

No, they had 2 players with more than 7 tackles (Barlow and De Boer). We had more tackles overall (74 to 68), and thus, more players with more tackles than them.

Perhaps recheck the stats and correct your post?

Anyone can explain Tapscotts problems? Every time we think we may have a goer they falter. He looks the goods but goes missing every second match. Do we need to move on yet again?

In all my years of watching football, I have never seen a team that handballs worse than we do. I cannot understand why we have such difficulty handballing to someone standing 5-10 metres away. It is not that hard. We continually miss targets, put the ball behind players or in Sellar's case, handball over his head halfway to someone, causing a turnover. Honestly, how can these guys possibly not be able to perform such a basic skill. And please don't blame Neeld for this, he can be blamed for a lot of other things, but this is on the heads of our very average players.

He's playing out of position, for some reason we have small/medium forwards who don't move much past the forward 50 arc. All our small forwards are supposed to be defensive forwards, I remember a time when forwards used to kick goals. Wait a minute, that was Friday night with McGlinn, Tappy needs to do the same, work his a...off. I just don't know what he is being instructed to do but he's not doing a lot of anything at the moment. For Tapscott to develop he needs to run up the ground a bit more, give him a run in the middle. To me he is a real disappointment at the moment and hasn't deserved his position in the senior side.

His problem is he has not shown an aptitude to make any position his own.

Ayers may be the one. He has been there before and can use an assistant coach to understand the intricacies of the modern game. I think man on man might work well for the first half of next season. Is it that complicated to get competitive? I suspect not. In short we won't attract any super coach I can think of to coach this rabble of a list and club.

Exactly what are the intricacies of of the modern game Run get ball tackle hand pass kick We are not even getting attitude right Nothing is right at the club

There is a big problem with attitude and team work and nobody is saying anything What the hell is going on The truth pls Mc Lardy!

I don't think Don will be doing much press work. His last performance with CS. was awful and I don't think PJ would let him near a microphone.

what a poor showing. So many players on the list that just arent up to AFL standard from a skills perspective.

Its depressing when Dockers fans take pity on you...

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
