Its obviously gotten to a stage where the AFL has looked at the damage being done to their brand by us being so shiit, and has decided to fix it. CS out PJ in. I mean, its just a departmental shift. Jackson was working for the AFL before, he is working for them now. Now the next phase, where Jackson brings in his fix up crew of AFL bods, including a new coach, then maybe a few players. A good chunk of AFL cash is probably on the way too.

We can only hope BBB particularly the cash component we are going to need tr Truckloads

Any way the AFL stooges who take over have to be able to do a better job than this bunch who have proved to be completely shambolic

All of these things are OK with me. What's the alternative? I don't think Diamond Joe is lurking in the shadows with his cheque book out (Although with the season quickly turning into a soap opera I could actually see that being our final episode cliff hanger).

When he was interviewed on SEN PJ said he was first approached by Demetriou to see if he would be interested in taking the job. They said that Demetriou merely suggested to the club that he would be a good fit, but we can all read the subtext there. Still, he's a very good administrator, the AFL love him and we clearly needed something to change. I have absolutely no problem with them pushing him on us right now.

    Fremantle hosted the Demons on a sunny 20-degree Saturdayafternoon winning the toss and electing to defend in the first quarter against the 3-goal breeze favouring the Parry Street end. There was method here, as this would give the comeback queens, the Dockers, last use of the breeze. The Melbourne Coach had promised an improved performance, and we did start better than previous weeks, winning the ball out of the middle, using the breeze advantage and connecting to the forwards.

    Calling all fit players. Expect every available Melbourne player to board the Virgin cross-continent flight to Perth for this Round 4 clash on Saturday afternoon at Fremantle Oval.     With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.

    The 40,000 seat $319 million redeveloped Kardinia Park Stadium was nowhere near capacity last night but the strong, noisy contingent of Melbourne supporters led by the DeeArmy journeyed to Geelong to witness a high-quality battle between two of the best teams in AFLW.   The Cats entered the arena to the blasting sounds of Zombie Nation and made a hot start kicking the first 2 goals.
