[Statistic] Since 186...

And people still wonder why the AFL have become involved.

Those statistics are an embarrassing disgrace.

Where is Satryconhome when you need him to get us looking on the bright side?! I need him tell us that he has been to training and Jordie McKenzie will be the next Cameron Ling, Fitzpatrick will be the next Wayne Carey, Taggart will be Garry Ablett Jr, and the Kiwi lad will be a mix between Watson/Pendlebury & Cotchin, with a hint of Nic Nat.

I would settle for " Spencer will be the next MD"

I would settle for " Spencer will be the next MD"

Im not sure whether Spencer will be our next anything apart from a back up ruckman and Napolean Dynamite look-a-like

Wow that's pretty damning.

How long has it been since we beat a Victorian side other than Richmond or Essendon?

Joke there DemonWA I know the kid and he is all heart but Majak he is not.

WYL has been banging on about the aftermarth of 186 for nearly two years now.

I must admit sometimes I have thought he was pushing the envelop.

He has been canned constantly by quite a few on Demonland

But surprise surprise he may be on the money.

IMO that game was the turning point and it has been all down hill from midway through 2011

Those issues and their fallout have never been truly addressed.

In Early 2011 JS's health took a turn for the worst and again IMO we have drifted ever since.

I pray the new CEO that we should have had back in 2011 will now get our club back on track.

But is going to take considerable help from the AFL, embarrassing but I can live with it.

Rd22, 2007. Carlton. Kreuzer Cup.

2 Vic teams we've beaten since the end of 2007. Richmond and Essendon

4 Vic teams we've beaten since the end of 2006. Richmond, Essendon, Carlton and Footscray.

6 Vic teams we have not beaten since 2006.

Rd22, 2007. Carlton. Kreuzer Cup.

I wish you had not told me that.

By the way Striker, from the other thread your father has my vote!

the fact that the game was never spoken about by the people in charge was a grave mistake.

It was political on & off the field. The fact the coach was sacked but the CEO was reinstated makes me angry. The root cause continued to do the same job.

Jackson made it public yesterday. No wonder the players do not give everything.

It should have all come out. If not on the monday later that year.

For Bailey to be left sitting alone with no support or MFC Logos was a disgrace to me.

And many of those faceless people are still there.

We are where we are.

Jackson is a very important person to our club right now.

Doesn't really count though does it, not as a 'win' in the truest sense.

It was the final game in the Carlton Tanking Series.

The most important IMO

Round 19, 2007.

42 point win over the Dogs who, at the time, were pressing for finals.

Cost us NN?

That must feel like a 100 years ago to Frawley, Dunn, Jones and Davey

Dunn was not married and now he is a father, Davey only had one child!, Jones only had one tatto it was his second year and Frawley was in his first season.

At most clubs they would have played finals by now.

6 years since we have won at Etihad. Not 1 win there with the present admin!!

Cripes other teams win there weekly.

P.S. How good was Reiwolt last night!!

Hope Jack Watts gave it a look..

Yeah but not at Richmond.

We've also scored 100 points or more in 6 out of 34 matches. 3 of those were in Viney's 5 game stint as caretaker. Just saying...

Thats very interesting.

Shows how truly terrible neeld is.

At least we were scoring goals with Todd in as caretaker.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
