Only knows one way and that's straight forward! love this guys toughness and willing to take the game on. He is our Steven Morris and will only get better.

Needs to tidy up his disposal but that will come with experience. If you saw some of his SANFL highlights he is a dead eye kick.

Fair to say he has taken over nicho and I think he will find it really hard to break back into the side if Terlich keeps his form up.

You beat me to it! Lacked some polish today, but that will come with game time. You cannot fault this kid's endeavour!

A bit of competition for a spot in the side is just what we need!

for a player who has played 2-3 games he seems to have an old head on his shoulders, which is nice!

and i'm sure he has alot of improvement left in him as he finds his feet at AFL level

This blokes a keeper.

Hes doing exactly what every player should do, and that is go 100% hard 100% of the time and never give up until the ball is dead

Kid is a warrior

So far neelds recruiting doesn't look too bad. Terlich, Viney, Jones, Byrnes and even pedo showed a bit today.

Love the way he doesn't get discouraged when he makes a mistake. Just puts his head down and works his ass off to make up for it. We need more attitudes like his.

Reminds me a bit of Wrecker.

Can't really remember what it was specifically but there was a passage of play where he not only put in a hard second effort but then he put in the third. He won me over at that point.

I am a fan of this guy. He comes from up Albury way, so I spose i was following him closer than the other recruits.

I cant be more impressed. As commented hes only played 3 games. He definately looks a long term player.

Hes hard, quick, skillfull. Can only see him getting better.

I was particularly impressed, I think in the last Q, not by a bad fumble running into the 50 but by his second and third efforts in getting his own ball back. Gutsy stuff and a shining example to many of his colleagues.

He is a kamikaze player - and even though he gets caught from time to time, he stays strong and can get a disposal away.

Not overly skilled but I like what he brings to the table. If we were to play in a final tomorrow (LOL) I'd be picking him ahead of much more skilled teammates who perhaps don't possess his kamikaze approach (you know who I'm referring to).

Does Neeld get credit for bringing him to the club or does Todd Viney as the head recruiter at the time?

I had the same thought today! He is a really hard worker and loves the tough stuff. People can bag Neeld all they like about his game day coaching (which obviously needs improvement) but I think the guys he has brought into the club via the drafts are exactly the guys we need - tough and willing to do the hard yards to get better. No Morton's on Neelds watch.

Dean is what the game's always been about.

Jack should have a close look.

Pretty sure he stuffed up a kick around half forward but kept running with GWS players all over him and he tackled and kept going for the ball again and eventually held it up in the forward line. Mistakes don't bother me we are going to make plenty but it's what you do afterwards. He didn't point fingers or just stand there. He busted his butt.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
