GAME DAY

Conceded 9 of the last 10 goals.

Anyone who is there - cracked under pressure or ran out of legs?

Stand up and fight you weak gutted pricks FFS!!!!!

Sylvia, Grimes, and N.Jones gone missing this quarter.

As usual, Colin Garland is taking years off my life.

We haven't won a quarter for the season and are being smashed by Eagles.

Stop going on forums if you dont like opinions.

Live with it

My comments up until that last one were in the first half of this game. We were not being smashed by the eagles. Sure they are smashing us in the third, but the first half was a good effort by our players (not that I would expect that you would agree!)

just get fed up with people constantly slagging off the team, and yet somehow are deluded in thinking that you might be capable of positive thinking yet every bloody post you make is slagging off our players.

Cox beating Jamar in hitouts and also beating him in possies 17 to 5.

Jamar MUST be dropped.

Garland is such a dumb footballer!! Jamar is a dud!

59 pt lead. Gona b pushing 100 pt loss?

This is weak effort Melbourne we are suppose to be fitter then last year WTF!!

HOW CAN THIS HAPPEN MCLARDY NEELD HEARTBREAKING

I've just about broken the remote. This game was there to be won FFS.

on the way to 100point drubbing. not standing up, not manning up. Why are we allowing them eagles players to run around unmanned is beyond me.

after a great first half we will still lose by 100

this is just deplorable

ANOTHER goal to Kennedy....

128 - 63

10 goal to 1 quarter

Melbourne have simply stopped.

Because our coach is absolutely terrible

For those at the ground, who will Toumpas replace?

Mark Neeld needs to make this final quarter a whole new game. He needs to tell them that what happens now is just as important as what happened when we were in the game. We just cannot drop away for an entire half of the game. It just totally undoes the great strides we've made in the first half.

Because our coach is absolutely terrible

How is this our coach's fault. You cannot lay the blame for an atrocious quarter of footy on anyone but the players on the field.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
