GAME DAY

Goal to Byrnes. We're up by four.

We're winning!

I could crack Evans.

Is that a good thing?

Is grimes of a half back flank on the Frenchmen?

Nosebleed time! Sylvia!

Tackles WCE 20 MFC 6 at this stage, and WC have had more possies...

Still got no idea why we made no play for Kerr when he was a FA

Can someone please say what the score is?

There is a pulse

Not able to watch the game, could this be because they are actually having to chase us? or is our pressure when not in possession down still?

so many eagles players running around alone is killing us. we are winning the contested possessions but loosing the game because our players do not stick to their men and dont know how to tackle.

apparently Melbourne players are the only people in the AFL world that dont know about Shannon Hurn

its simple things like that which kill us

Important quarter time stats:

We lead the clearances 10 to 8

Eagles lead inside 50s 16 to 9

We lead contested possies 46 to 35

Eagles led the possie count 100 to 91 BUT they also lead the tackle count 22 to 6

Score MFC 25 WCE 33

24 to 32 at quarter time WC way. Good start though

who had the brezze ?

Melb - 25 WC - 33

N.Jones with 11 possessions so far.

Eagles have had more possies and nearly 4 times as many tackles. Not good.

much better quarter boys, 3 more of those and i will be a much happier member

Why do we have a ruckman whosr to scared to take a shot on goal

Free Eagles players everywhere... Make no mistake, the effort is a bit better, but we've been lucky so far and made the most of our limited opportunities.

Goal to Mitch cuts the Eagles lead to 8 points again.

thats all we can ask for stuie, todays result is irrelevant

Sylvia playing great, sets up Davey for a goal, Eagles lead by 2 points

The tackle count and manning up isn't irrelevant though.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
