Sensational day here on the Coast.

southport.jpg

Light breeze, blue skies. Should be a good final hit out and a great day to watch footy.

The "seconds" were always played in Victoria, in winter. A big difference.

Only a moron would schedule a midday game in Queensland: presumably DimWitriou was involved.

only half the seconds games in vic were played in winter. plenty played in 27 degree weather as forecast today

dunno about qld but in vic the hottest time of the day (max temp) is late afternoon

still i agree that all nab and pre-season games should be played at night

What are expectations for this game??

I'd like to know from those focused on results what would be an acceptable scoreline.......

Like Pringle - my sentiments as well. I am just hoping for no injuries..

I simply asked as there has been a lot of discussion about results around here. I counted at least 6 of our best 22 injured (not sure who is rested atm) and I think we will struggle to beat The Franchise GC 17 up there.

Am very interested in this game - I do hope the boys prove me wrong

I know its not nice to come on and bag posters, especially when you are not a regular, but if you are giving comments, PLEASE give scores.

This site can be infuriating for remote viewers, who are more interested in score and player updates, than comments that add nothing to our knowledge of the game.

Sorry for being pushy, but some comments given during games are just pointless. "Jamar!" ""What a kick by Blease" etc etc.

Please remember that some of us are completely blind/deaf to the game, and our entire view of the game is what you guys type.

I guess im more referring to televised or radio games, but please give scores whenever possible.

Many thanks in advance, and i hope i havent offended anyone

Last chance to show what we got before round 1. I think we will be very keen to get some momentum going into the season. I see a big win coming, I don't think we will make the same mistake as last week and let them into the game (2nd quater v the saints).

Im predicting (hoping for) a 55-60 point win and I don't think we should expect any less!

MFC will be live tweeting from our game v Gold Coast in Southport at 11.30 am local time (12.30 pm VIC time)

Highlights and interviews will be on http://melbournefc.com.au post game and the replay will be up tomorrow.

Thanks WJ

Can any QLD dees tell us if it's broad casted ?? Radio that is

The only AFL practice game that's being broadcast today is Port Adelaide v Sydney by the 5AA team (I kid you not!).

It's definitely worth tuning in for a bit of a laugh.

    TRAINING: Monday 20th January 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
