The problem with society these days....everyone has attention seeking syndrome. In this case it's the King Rat McLean.

Once upon a time people knew when to shut up. This generation have zero ability for self preservation. It's not murder FFS! and all clubs do it.

History will show ther has never been a bigger Rat/Dog that has ever pulled on a Melbourne jumper

Thats a poor attitude to have Soidee.

You can argue as to if we tanked or were experimenting, and how this has come to light or any other faciet of this issue.

BUT as a matter of morals:

1) If everyone does something it doesn't make it right (i.e Lance Armstrong and 80% of the pelaton)

2) If you see something immoral you should so something

Regarding point number 2. My advice is join in.

That may well be the case but there are other rats involved in this sorry saga.

They are the ones behind a long and concerted campaign to destabilise the club's current administration because they have an axe to grind with members of the board and with club employees.

That story will be bigger than this tanking inquiry when the facts come out.

Hence the need to start a new topic when this has and is already being discussed elsewhere?

Spirit of the Demon - are you able to elaborate more on your statement about " that story will be bigger than this tanking inquiry " . I have felt there has been a not so hidden agenda against the MFC over the last 12 months but I cannot fathom why....

And Sheahan's on board.

Brock going to carlton because of his perception that MFC were tanking is like a hitman leaving the mafia to join the yakuza because they are sick of the crime.

Pfft. Look to Schwab if you want to blame someone. For everything good he does it's followed by something crooked. The stink of corruption hangs around him like the cloud of dirt that follows Pigpen.

Letting him back into the club was probably one the biggest mistakes we'll ever have made - and boy has this club made some howlers.

If he was going because of tanking, why was his agent negotiating a new contract with us? I'll say it, he lied.

Can not believe we ever hired Schwab.

He killed Freo, now he is killing us.

And we just re-signed this [censored]? Wow.

I can't believe people still believe he killed Freo... proof please (hint...look at the state of Freo before he arrived and then upon his departure).

Will be bigger but the not way you think it will be.

You really hate this board.

Why?

i cant see that all clubs do it.? unaware of any to mind.

But ex-melb.ites have this disturbing penchant to whinge ,& whine with petulant regularity.in spiteful "HYPOCRISY"

in this self aggrandisement manner..

ie; PAUL GARDNER ( for crying out loud ) middle aged & lacking class.

along with "Bailey".& brock the thick sook.

Paul johnson

Darren jolly.

Bunny "prendergust" - or prenderghasp..( whatever )..

96 was riddled with em.!

cam the sham has been caught again with his ( please insert old cliches )

not to mention mfc has a disturbing habit of taking it up the rear from the media..

when we r only the apprentice & late comers who r last on the totem pole , compared to the "masters" of cheating the system

in carl.coll.ess.& alike. who hardly get touched.

Will be bigger but the not way you think it will be.

Don't you have an AGM to go to?

Speaking of dogs...

  • REPORT: Brisbane

“Max Gawn has been the heart and soul of the Dees for years now, but this recent recovery from a terrible start has been driven by him. He was everywhere again, and with the game in the balance, he took several key marks to keep the ball in the Dees forward half.” - The Monday Knee Jerk Reaction: Round Ten Of course, it wasn’t the efforts of one man that caused this monumental upset, but rather the work of the coach and his assistants and the other 22 players who took the ground, notably the likes of Jake Melksham, Christian Petracca, Clayton Oliver and Kozzie Pickett but Max has been magnificent in taking ownership of his team and its welfare under the fire of a calamitous 0-5 start to the season. On Sunday, he provided the leadership that was needed to face up to the reigning premier and top of the ladder Brisbane Lions on their home turf and to prevail after a slow start, during which the hosts led by as much as 24 points in the second quarter. Titus O’Reily is normally comedic in his descriptions of the football but this time, he was being deadly serious. The Demons have come from a long way back and, although they still sit in the bottom third of the AFL pack, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel as they look to drive home the momentum inspired in the past four or five weeks by Max the Magnificent who was under such great pressure in those dark, early days of the season.

  • CASEY: Southport

The Southport Sharks came to Casey. They saw and they conquered a team with 16 AFL-listed players who, for the most part, wasted their time on the ground and failed to earn their keep. For the first half, the Sharks were kept in the game by the Demons’ poor use of the football, it’s disposal getting worse the closer the team got to its own goal and moreover, it got worse as the game progressed. Make no mistake, Casey was far and away the better team in the first half, it was winning the ruck duels through Tom Campbell’s solid performance but it was the scoreboard that told the story.

Just a game and percentage outside the Top 8, the Demons return to Melbourne to face the Sydney Swans at the MCG, with a golden opportunity to build on the momentum from toppling the reigning premiers on their own turf. Who comes in, and who makes way?
