I respect your view Tim, even though I disagree with it.

In my day job, I see a lot of people default to 'process' as their protector, irrespective of whether following that process actually produces a good outcome/decision.

Personally, I prefer substance over form. In my observation, Neeld has substance as a coach and in his methodology and approach to the gig, and, as a result I think he will deliver results for this club.

So much so, I couldn't give a stuff about the process - I feel we got the right man.

And I'd take that any day over some process which, on paper, had complete integrity but which ultimately delivered the wrong dude.

Yeah, we agree on most stuff truthfully. I see people hide behind process when they don't want responsibility.

However, let's do a little thought experiment. The same process had Schwab sacked and Bailey re-signed before 186. Imagine if we'd 'only' lost by 125 points that day. Bailey would have kept his job and be coaching still. Schwab would be gone. Neil Craig would likely be at Carlton with Mick Malthouse. The leadership group would be unchanged. No mitch clarke. 7.5 wins. Steady as she goes but going no-where, with a brooding discontent as G Lyon finds his backroon voice after recovering from the death of his good friend Jimmy.

Yes, I'm guessing about a future that did not happen. I'm not being unreasonable IMO.

I agree, Bailey's policy and coaching ideas werent shocking but not a winning formula.

Neeld i fell as if he is trying to create a winning formula rather than just being OK.

Although that statement kind of contradicts itself, as we lost most of our games this past year, he is definitely trying to make sure we get the right people around the club (such as Mitch, Dawes and Brynes) 2 of them are premiership winning players.
