What has happened to Dan Nicholson?

He is not on the injury list.

He did not play last week for Casey nor the MFC.

He has not been mentioned in despatches.

SO

Where is he?

Will probably play at Casey because I can see Moloney and Bate being promoted this week after playing well there last week against Collingwood.

I dont really know.

The last thing I saw of his was "The Bucket List"which was a pretty schmaltzy kind of "48 Hours" for retirees.

Nothing since the 70's has really been any good with him.

I enjoyed "As good as it gets"

"The Crossing Guard", directed by Sean Penn was his best movie in last 30 I reckon.

Heart breaking.

Pretty good as The joker lets hope there's a revival nxt yr

Trumped by the late Heath Ledger.

Last I can see is jaw injury - Nicholson to miss up to three weeks - from the 30th July.

He would be a chance this week.

Thanks Paul.

He seems to be a forgotten man as he hasn't and doesn't appear in any injury list and nothing was mentioned about him in this week's Burgan/Misson injury update video.

Maybe we are keeping him as a smokey for the finals?

Included in the squad of 25 for Sunday...

and "A Few Good Men"

Rather than take five easy pieces he's been working on his game down to the last detail and by all reports is simply shining. Expect his game, if he is named as one of a few good men in the final squad, to be as good as it gets. He's no easy rider is our Nicho!

Randall Patrick McMurphy is the one most Demonlanders can probably relate to .

One of the best roles ever,

Nicholson just needs to work on.......

The Last Detail-What a freakin classic bit of film that is.

My favourite Nicho lines:

"I want you to hold the chicken... between your knees" (Five Easy Pieces)

"He wanted the cheese melted" (The Last Detail)

"If you guys dont leave I'm gonna call the sea-patrol"

"I AM THE MOTHER FUGGIN SEA PATROL MOTHER FUGGER-NOW GIVE US SOME BEER!"

Got to agree with the "five easy pieces" one hardtack

Still think it is the best ever JN movie.

Surprised you know it from memory that was 1970

Great year for the pies as well

'68 i think. His first feature role

The sandwich scene. One of the alltimers!!!

I love 5 Easy Pieces too .

"Crap.Crap,Crap.Crap.Crap.Crap.There is so much crap in the world I can't even breathe"

Anyone seen our man Nicho in "The King Of Convent Garden?"

Wouldn't 1968's Easy Rider have been his first feature role? Five Easy Pieces was 1970. He and Dennis Hopper were two of my favourite psychos... Nicholson in The Shining and Hopper in Blue Velvet.

And how could we forget One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest!!

  • REPORT: Fremantle

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.
