our run is gone

its going to be hard for us to win this

Has anyone seen/heard a figure as to what the attendance is?

at the first bounce, mmm said the crowd was 12,800

The fat lady is warming up...

We've just been destroyed by injuries today. How deflating.

Can someone please tell Trenners to stop hand balling the football over his head.

There is no way he can see who he is hand balling too and it's a bad habit he has developed this season.

What are you talking about it went straight to Joel Mcdonald, he has done it 3 times today and each time he has hit a target, its called vision

Get Rivers back in the backline......

It would be good if someone could tell him to stop falling over too.

Please can we now acknowledge that if he wasn't the captain he wouldn't be getting a game?

Struggling.

Very unlucky today. The result will not reflect the effort that was put in.

Doesn't matter...It still wasn't good enough.

joel macdonald you are a joke!!

Mate, unless he has eyes in the back of his head it is impossible to have "vision" there. Yes he may hear a voice calling from

behind but he cant pin point the handball if he can't see them, they wouldn't even be in his peripheral.

I have witnessed on several times today and throughout the year where his "over the back of his head" handballs have gone to the

Opposition so you must have been having a toilet break during these times.

Bit of an overreaction, Jaded.

Maybe it is. But I am just fed up.

It's that much worse when you are capable of winning but are constantly being let down by stupid tactics and stupid players. FFS!

joel macdonald you are a joke!!

worked hard today, ran out of legs in the end like the rest.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
