MFC and Geelong travelling to USA via Hawaii and playing exhibition matches 1963.

Bluey Adams retiring at 28 yo. Right at the top of his game.

Richmond being allowed to play at OUR ground.

Barassi and Smithy gone.

Hassa Mann gone

Frank Davis gone

Greg Wells gone

Greg Parkes gone

Don Williams and Gary Hardeman came back

Laurie Fowler. A recruit that was actually successful.

Petal ignored the big bucks and stayed when i was so used to us losing our best player each year (or so it seemed at the time).

Johnny Beckwith demonstrating how he could make a kick follow the boundary line at a school clinic.

Wondering how Peter Moore could stand between the Centre and Centre half back and get the opposition to kick it to him unattended 15 times a game.

Big Carl came to save us. Twice. I used to sell him a Herald most weeknights. Always 2 bob. I would see the Rothman's Falcon and sprint.

The return of the Prodigal Son. We won a few in a row until Hawthorn dismantled us at Princes Park.

Grinter 5 on debut against Carlton.

Danny Hughes belting Brian Taylor in the back of the head at least once a quarter..

'Farmer' Giles and Batto combine to get us over the line at Waverley at night.

Gazza's broken leg, Warren Dean's goal and the interminable wait for the Hawthorn result at Western Oval.

Grinter's hit on Chris Mew, right in front of us. The noise was unbelievable!

The humiliation of the GF next year following Jamie Duursma's shut down job on Kernahan to get us there in the first place.

Ted Fidge breaking Darren Millane's jaw at Waverley. 6 weeks. Retirement. Hadn't played seniors for 2+ years. Martyr.

Grinter, elbow tucked in, lining up Kernahan. Steve ducked his head just in time. He would have been a paraplegic.

Tony Campbell and Peter Rhode shutting down Dunstall and Dermie 2 weeks in a row. 1990?

Ox and Storm Boy take Carlton's defence apart. 1994.

Injuries to Stinga and Ox.

Seeing Ox do his knee in a practice game in Albury. Dejection on the way home.

Jakovich. Martin Pike.

Craig Turley. WTF??

Andy Goodwin and Nigel Smart at Westlakes.

Daniher not making a move as the prelim? against North slipped away in 1998.

2006. Last dip.

Lions, Freo, Swans. At MCG.

Moustache McMahon. Only feral goal I ever cheered.

$cully.

Big Jim.

The rise of Nugget.

Our collective fragile hopes soaring like Jeremy Howe.

Heaps more. These are just off the top of my head.

Edit for spelling.

Heaps more. These are just off the top of my head.

The "Jimi Hendrix" type career of Allen Jakovich.

He came he shone so bright and then left too quickly. If only Jacko had played for 10-12 years....3 was just a taste.

I was behind the goals at that end!

I reckon the Wizard might just about be my favourite.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
