Which players will stand up against the Blues?

Looking forward to tomorrow nights game.

Any predictions on who will stand up or respond following last weeks uninspiring efforts? nate Jones once again? Will trenners turn it on for the first time this year? Or just more of the same from Clark?

Brent moloney & Jamie bennell

Clark will play as he does every game and leave everything out on the MCG, as will Jones.

Of the players who haven't played well this season, I think (and hope) that Trengove will put in a solid performance.

If I say Tom McDonald, James Sellar, Sam Blease and Jamie Bennell often enough, surely at least one of them will stand up and salute with a standout game??

Tom McDonald and Sam Blease are always a chance. I wouldn't hold my breath for the other two, though.

I would nominate the usual suspects. We all know who they are.

FWIW Mitch Clarke is currently 6/1 to kick the most goals 2morrow. Betts and Walker his main opposition. Mmmmm might have a little flutter on that. (Well, it is the off season isnt it??)

I hope you are right as I wouldnt let them put the jumper on after their recent performances

Surprisingly I give us a small chance of an upset today dont know why!!!!-----

probably just fatigue

Any one else feeling positive about an upset ahla tigers?

Yeah, I'm with Jackaub. One day, maybe today, this group will wake up to the fact that the games

there for the taking. Get in the game early, get some early touches, back and encourage each other. Treat Carlton like the arrogant scum they are instead of so much respect accorded these sides

You are baiting me right DemonWA?

Id like someone new to have a breakout game. Been saying that all season and probably the last three yeasr in many ways.

I just can't see Melbourne kicking goals. Last week was potentially the best forward line, yet still nothing.

This really is a problem. Apart from Clark, not only do we lack firepower but we also seem unable to bring the ball into our forward zone in a manner that gives us a chance.

there is more chance of me doing the no-pants-dance with Katy Perry this afternoon than there is of us winning this match

Howe , Watts ,Clark ,Jones as usual .

Hoping Blease ,Tapscott ,Moloney and Jamar can lift .

If we win 9 or ten positions/match ups we can win .

It's a big if I'll admit .

I don't care who stands up just hoping someone does.

I'm at the point that being within 5 goals at the end is nearly as good as a win.

So sad.

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
