I thought it was going to be a link to a HS article on Melbourne fans calling for it!

Please do Carlton, we'll gladly have him back as our midfield coach.

I think as a senior coach, Ratten has shown he is a very good midfield coach.

How would a supporter truly know how an assistant coach has performed?

in 2004, he had Jeff White as AA ruckman and Scott Thompson has a class first dibs midfielder. At no other time has MFC had that combination since. He rode on their back until Round 17 when White fatigued and Thompson got injured. Our midfield went to water and looked chumps under Ratten.

And was this the same guy that gave a first round pick for Brock McLean??? Eeekkkk. Ratten coached him at close quarters and had coached against him. Surely he would have realised what was obvious to the outside world on McLean. Clearly not.

Scott Thompson was only 22 in 2004, which suggests he was developed and coached well by the MFC midfield staff. He was injured in Round 13, and the midfield held up - if only for a month.

I think Ratten was a good coach. Carlton wouldn't have him otherwise.

    Demonland Trackwatchers ventured down to Gosch's Paddock for the final week of training for the 1st to 4th Years until they are joined by the rest of the senior squad for Preseason Training Camp in Mansfield next week.
