Pumped for my first live game of the year. Feeling very confident and I also put a small bet on for the dees first win.

My optimistic side is bubbling. I've put money on. . Plus I like the look of our side. But, as Garry Lyon wrote today, we need some key players to fire. Don't forget the flogging we gave them at the MCG about 18 months ago

MCG not the SCG, they struggle at the MCG but at home they are a whole different team and we haven't beaten them there since 2006 I think. Then again we haven't beaten many sides since then. I hope we can get up but don't really like our chances.

Agree we are a good chance this week. If we can lift in the middle and feed our forward line we'll certainly stretch the Swans.

I like the way Lyon in The Age today put the acid on Moloney, Trengove, Sylvia and Jurrah. He's an astute football and Melbourne observer and rarely "calls out" players if they are not cherry ripe to lift. If this foursome do lift, we should be in for a more pleasant arvo at the Pub watching the game than usual.

Go Dees

Gary generally gives me the shizens. But I agree on this point but so does most of the media fraternity. The older players are the problem - cant handle the new game plan and are often getting less touches than their younger counterparts. They need to lift or move over for others who can get the game plan, play defensively and shelter our youngsters until they are up to it.

As for watching at a pub - sounds good mate! Hope its warm!

I think this is our best chance in the next few for some reason as well. We've played ok against the Swans recently.

I've had this sneaky little feeling all week. It's probably misplaced and simply ridiculous, but Sydney were awful last week against Richmond, and they're missing players. We, on the other hand, have pretty much as good a 22 as we're going to get all year.

I don't think we'll win, but I do think we might be close. It would sure as hell be a great game to win, knocking off Sydney up there in Sydney. But I just don't think we're good enough to win anywhere except at the MCG.

I would love to see us make a good account of ourselves in the harbour city. It would kill me for them to win and not be there after all of those weeks of the losses.

Go Dees!

I'm the worst tipper in the world so I'll shut up .

A red hot crack is all I want today ,

Okay, here we go. Please keep your arms and legs inside the carraige for your safety. At the end of the ride, please disembark to your left and no matter what, please take your Demon membership cards with you.

Is there any internet stream available?

quick one, anyone got the details on media coverage in melbourne? sen? anyone got a live stream by any chance?

Whose keiran Jacks opponent? His ripping our midfield a new asshol

Bartram is playing on Jack, according to SEN.

Parker screws a goal around the body. This is not going well.

Sydney 3.0.18

Melbourne 0.2.2

We've got a loose man in defence, too.

Moloney already looking disinterested. Just leave and take your attitude with you.

We look like snails out there.

Does Neeld know we're meant to have 18 players out there?! Seems like we have 8.

Forget the haunting of Round 11 — we’ve got this. Melbourne returns to its inner-city fortress for its milestone 100th AFLW match, carrying a formidable 10–2 record at IKON Stadium. Brisbane’s record at the venue is more balanced: 4 wins, 4 losses and a draw.

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
