For some reason I had a vision of Hannibal Lecter.

Yes. But that is just scratching the surface!!! 1964 is a long wait. !!!

lol at the newbies who went from thinking this was a poster playing a joke, to wondering why others were taking him seriously, to figuring out that it was Cam, and then the feeling of confusion at having the CEO take this place seriously...

He should take us seriously though.

We may be a multi-headed, contradictory body of narcissists and blowhards but we do more for the club, know more about the club and how it does, and should, play its footy than any institution on this green Earth.

We are Demonland.

Sorry, I have been watching a lot of West WIng lately and this post sounds better if you do a 'Jed Bartlett' in your head when you read it back...

The reason i post on here, is because i know it gets read.

We are the most passionate supporters of the red and blue...no doubt about that.

We will not compromise the value by agreeing to a sub-optimal long term deal because of external or perceived time pressures.

This is a point I brought up early in that Other Sponsor thread.

I, rpfc, could go out and get $1m sponsor for the front of the sponsor tomorrow. From Canberra. On my iPhone, through a text message.

We pay Cam the 'Big Desks' because he can go out and get a EnergyWatch size deal that we require to push our revenue into places it needs to go make us competitive with the better teams.

I value our club higher than most, we all do. The manifestation of your value is how much money people will pay to be associated with your name and image.

We are trying to maximise that value, and Demonland should applaud him.

(Jed Bartlett again...)

Thanks Cam for actually showing many around here that you do have time for the rank and file members to explain a few of the current issues albeit briefly.

As always you articulated your points very well.

Careful, Old Dee might even go from a glass completely empty viewpoint to at least 2 hydrogen atom's and a smidge of oxygen in that there old pewter mug!

Cam I have always been a huge fan of yours, both for your undoubted professionalism and your undoubted passion. It is clear that you have been a major lynchpin in ensuring that this club is still surviving. I think it is admirable not only that you look here to gauge our views, but in times when it is warranted you address us specifically. For what it's worth, even though there are some (including myself) that express themselves somewhat over-vigourously at times, the general feel of what is said around here accurately reflects that of what I hear from Dees fans I know, those I talk to at games, and bump into on the street/pub. I think it is wise of you refer here for insight and I wonder how many in corresponding positions at other clubs have the wisdom to do similar. When we eventually hold that cup, I will take great pleasure in what it must mean for you personally. Thank you.

Cameron, you are a good man to come on here an allay the fears of some on this forum. I think it shows how far we have come as a Club. Jimmy set out to make the Club more inclusive, you are continuing Jimmy's magnificent work.

Sounds like a splendid idea old chap

But will we have the right blazers?

Only joking

I have never tasted it have you?

In 1964 I was just 3 years old. In terms of my personal context (and I have lived a very full life), our last premiership just seems "other wordly".

Love the clumsy attempts at stakeholder engagement CS but "gee whiz and gee whilickers" some sort of result might help smooth over some of these issues.

Any chance we could start winning some footy game in the near future?

Good on you Cam. I reckon you're doing a fantastic job and I'm glad you're part of the MFC.

As for negativity, forums like this are an adventure playground for pessimists and black hats. Please take them with a grain of salt.

Keep up the great work.

Thanks for coming on here, Cam. I wasn't sure about the blazers, but when I saw the players donning them with pride (particularly Liam) I felt it demonstrates a very important part of the MFC. Tradition, and being proud to belong to the oldest club in the AFL.

I will admit I am one that is quite nervous about us running out in Round 1 without a FOJ sponsor, but I'll never deny the fact that you will fight to get what you believe we are entitled to. It's something I admire you for.

Good point...What was Liam Jurrah's reaction to putting on that Blazer???

We must get him through his trouble's....Stuff Eddie...Fear not. The Filth are circling....Rupert & Rudeboy....prove me wrong...that interview was a set up that not even Cam knew about.
