FOUR JACKS = 13th FLAG

I am now almost 30 years old and been going to watch the dees since i was 4 years old. We have had our ups and very big downs (2011) over my life time so far. But as a member of the best football club of all time i can finally see the light. And that light has been very much alot of hard work from BIG JIM and co. Now we have a club with all the things you need to be the best in this great game. And i think we have the best man for the job in Mark neeld and co to bring the best out of our very good young kids. Our list is no doubt the envy of other clubs as we get ready to take on the world at this game we all love. With all the pain over the last 5 years has not been for nothing we have a young team with some of the very best kids from around Australia. And what will make us the next geelong or collingwood is the 4 jacks we have as weapons. 1st we have Jack grimes who has all the tools to lead this club back to were it belongs and very good skills. It seems he has alot of time on his hands when has the ball which only the best players seem to have. 2nd we have Jack watts who i think will go down as one of the all time greats of this game he has all the skills of James hird and can run all day he will own our forward line over the next 10 years MEGA WATTS is growing into a man lookout. 3rd We have Jack trengove Who is now the youngest afl captain of all time. You do not get given a job like this for nothing i have meet the young man at our best and fairest and he really is very smart and mature for his age and to be seen as a captain by all your team mates at this age says you have a very special player on your hands. And we all know how much talent this young man has. And finally the most important part is Jack viney who we need right now as we all know our midfeild is missing that star power but this kid is as hard as nails and very much going to be the star we need i know its a team game but every great team needs star players and our four Jacks will lead this club to a 13th flag it might come quicker than alot of so called experts think just look at the hawks and collingwood both very young sides. As we sit here right now i have never been so happy as to were our club sits there will be some more ups and downs but our club will have its day soon. GO DEES TIME TO RISE

I try to temper my excitement at this time of year, as traditionally I have the smile wiped off my face pretty quick. But after saying that, I must confess that I'm pretty much in agreeance with you the BIG JIM :)

I know we do it hard as dees fans over the years i just cant see anything stoping this team from being great.

Will be interesting to watch Jack V over the next 12 months. I think the last I heard was that he was a potential top 5 draft pick (but obvously coming to us at whatever F/S pick), but before I go putting high expectations on the kid, I want to hear the likes of Emma Quayle say around September this year that "he should/could be a top 3 pick but Melbourne get to use their pick 12 on him"!

Just bring on the season already. It's been far too long since our last good game to get me too excited about 2012 - I've forgotten how good some of our kids are going to be!

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
