Captain and Leadership Group ... Nearest the Pin

I am yet to take a punt though, i will say

C - Green and Trengove

VC - Frawley, Moloney

LG - Clark, Watts, Grimes

I don't mind that lineup but no way they're dumping Rivers from the LG after he finished 2nd in the B&F (although I'm not sure how that happened). I'll leave Watts out for him.

I think clark may become the moloney and the frawley of the forward line

No moloney, rivers, green.

A set of steak knives.

What do I win ?

Missed a few there I think.

I'll get me coat

Moloney © Grimes © Trengove ©

Rivers Frawley Jones McKenzie

Having Jordie in there is wishful thinking on my part.

And I believe the paper report about shared captaincy.

I don't like them normally, but these are not normal circumstances.

4 out of 8 with the captains nearly spot on.

I was going to say Garland, I really was...

Clark and Batram a surprise, until you realise how they go about their footy.

Pretty sure I was the only one to pick Bartram. :)

Clark a surprise, but welcome.

Quick glance reveals 6 people got the Grimes/Trengove Co-Captains correct .

'Good Times Grimes' , 'Ben Hur' , 'gg24' , 'tatu' , 'McQueen' and 'Red and Blue Flame'

You will each receive 1 steak knife !

ps - apologies if I missed someone .

Looks like WE THE FORUM got it right . Maybe someone is taking note of the supporters at this club? Good times ahead .

My hunch about Grimes being Captain proved correct, although I wrote it in another thread not this one.

Then you get a set of butter knives ....

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
