but rookies aren't limited to $50k. He was also in the PSD (I think) where you can nominate your terms.

You'd think Neon Leon would be on somewhere between that and a $100 large. Big coup for Perth Dees for sure. In all likelihood they will probably help him out with a job and other fringe benefits as well. All told he may only be $100k shy of what Collingwood were offering him, only now he has two assured years and gets to live the lifestyle he wants, in the location he wants.

I wouldn't be surprised if he privately told Port Adelaide he wasn't interested in going there. Speaking of that, how dirty would John McArthy be on having had Port read out his name yesterday!

It was reported the Pies offered him $300K if that is true he has dropped $200k

Cost of living is no less in Perth than Melbourne so he has to be way worse off

however sometimes money is not everything.

If he truely wanted to go home then he has achieved his ends.

Probably spend 50% of the time training in Perth compared to the Pies, no interstate travel.

if he gets another job as well as the football it probably comes out equal.

i.e. effort vs reward.
