Guest The Tweed Pig

So who are you gunning for? What are the issues you'd like to see resolved with the current admin?

He has his reasons rightly or wrongly. He doesn't need to elaborate.

Awesome result! So what is this money going to be used for, and how many times can we keep going back to the well?

Honestly... Either provide some information, or stay quiet. Stirring like this just adds to the already abundant negativity around here.

The negativity is there for a reason.

I'm not going to reveal anything else. Things will come out if G.Lyon does his job and I'd say Schwab will be the first to go.

I'm sure it is, but why perpetuate it while inferring you know more than we do? Especially on one of the better days the MFC has had for a few weeks.

You talking bout the $80,000 desk you mentioned in that thread; I doubt that's true I think it was a report that cost $80,000 that was put under Scwabs desk?

Where in the f*** would you buy an $80,000 desk?

That's garbage Tweed Pig.

What the hell was the point of saying anything if he was going to say nothing?

He does need to elaborate otherwise should of said nothing.

You have a decent point.

Something akin to grandstanding.. look at moi.

I know something you dont..etc etc.

blah blah

fair call OMR

Sorry to get this thread back on topic, but what was the go with tonight? Were all the players there?

Would seem strange if they were talking about Scully's future while he was there sitting in the audience. How convincing were the claims he would stay?

Thanks for the existing reports too guys! Sounds like a good night for the club.

My information is Schwab purchased a $80,000 desk in 1999. He was then sacked by Gutnick.

Cannot say too much but Schwab's treatment of De La Rue has been terrible. The man came to the club when no one else would and has allowed the club to make exception's with the current deal. Schwab's primary aim is to line his own pockets and is going against what the football club stands for to do this.

This also extends to his treatment of Green, Moloney, Wonnaemirri, Bell, McDonald and Scully. Also the board for not recognising his mistakes and renewing his contract.

That's all. Goodnight.

Some fair allegations in there Dannyz

If true I understand your stance.

Exactly what where the specific treatment issue's with Green, Moloney, Wonna & Scully?

So you bring it up now 12 years later and after donating large sums of money and while he was there, hmmmm. Anyway where did he get the desk I want one?

I was told by someone in the "know" that De la Rue is the type to give cash but then wants to run the club, is that right?

The report you speak of, which too cost $80,000, was that of a consultant who was ultimately disregarded.

I was donating to the Melbourne Football Club, not it's CEO.

No. I think your referring to his complaints regarding the positioning of his companies image on the jumper. MFC broke the contract originally signed with Hankook which stated that Hankook's logo would be the only image represented on the left hand upper side of the jumper. De la Rue eventually let this go.

The figure was actually $800,000.00.

Yep and made it very clear, whilst wishing the club all the best and good luck with a new sponser, he wouldn't have anything more to do with the club (i assume from a corporate point of view) whilst the current administration was in place. I reckon SS Schwabb will quietly sail into the sunset over summer and that will be the last we will see of him in footy. Probably take deck hand connoly with him

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
