We would need to win all 4. And when was the last time we won 4 in a row?? It has been so long I can't remember......

If I had a 4 wheel drive, money and knew how to ski I would be off to the snow......

We play gold coast twice this year so if we end up on 10.5 wins, that's really only 8.5 in my book. The nature of our losses too have been bad and do not deserve to play finals

So because we beat port adelaide and brisbane that makes it 6 1/2 wins is it? Any victory should consider as a win, no mater which team we play?

Deserve is a very subjective word .

If we bully 3 more teams and dont get thrashed tomorrow ,we could be in .

Essendon don't deserve to lick our boots .But I still want eighth spot ahead of them

Now do some of you FINALly get it ??????

and as if to add insult to injury teh Toiges are comfortably accounting for Sydney currently.. ...but hey those last two games look a cert....well the last one anyway....probably

If we win the last three and Sydney lose their last four, we will make it.

Currently Sydney is five goals down to Richmond. Worrying signs for them. Their next two games are against St Kilda (at ANZ) and Geelong (in Geelong). They can lose both of those, IMO, and if they do, and we beat Richmond (questionable at best) and Gold Coast, then we'd be level on points going into the last round.

In that round, we play Port, and even we should not be losing to Port, and they play Brisbane at the SCG. They will probably win that last game, which, assuming we can win the last three, would make it a battle of percentage. Which we won't win, given the last few weeks we've seen our percentage cop a hammering.

Anyway, point is, we're still a mathematical chance, and maybe that is enough to get an effort out of our group. I mean, I'd hate to see what would happen if we didn't think we were a chance to make finals and lost any motivation that that provides our players.

Lighten up belze. If we make it we make it. If not, I just want to see 4 QTR's of effort for the last three. Syd have the Saints and Cats to come. I think we will miss out on %.

10 and a half wins is a good improvement.

Read my post again. I THINK WE WILL MISS OUT ON %. It's almost like you are punishing yourself by this team having any success.

Mate no disprespect.. we arent within a bulls roar. In case yo haven theard the Toiges smacked Sydney by 43 points. . Were next. Theyre playing accountable , methodical and progressive footy and getting better.

We're doing NONE of the above...its horrible to think it but thats where we're at.

Then we have GC...now we really OUGHT to win that one. .but im not game currently to put money on that. .And Port..well that opught to be a gift.

try the ladder predicter.. We'll be lucky to finish 10th .. impossible to finish in 8

You really can be stupid sometimes.

No one is suggesting we are going to make the finals. But the possibility is there. Win the last three, and Sydney either loses the last three, or we make up enough percentage on them so that they only lose two. Either of those scenarios occur and, whether we deserve it or not, which is a different debate, we will be in the finals.

No, we do not deserve it, and no, we will do nothing if we make it, but the way the draw is shaped, we are a pretty strong chance to be level on points with Sydney at the conclusion of Round 23. Of course, we may lose to either Richmond or Gold Coast. But we might also beat them both.

Im stupid...get real... your scenarios with al due respect are ful lof it.. and I dont mean reality. Sydney will not lose to the Lions on home turf. We are really up against it to beat Richmond.

Its either Nth..or Sydney for 8th spot.

but dream on if it makes you happy

My scenarios are just that. Scenarios.

Sydney just lost to Richmond. Brisbane are the most competitive 4-15 side I've seen ever, probably. I'm not saying Brisbane will beat Sydney, but I am saying the option is there.

Similarly, we are a good chance to lose to Richmond. But we beat them well this year already and we do play them pretty well.

The options are there.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
