Spoke to quite a few of them. They were brilliant, reckon they have a soft spot for us.

They fully understand where we are and were we are at.

Thanks Carlton

Hopefully we will get where you are soon.

Every club has good, fair supporters just as every club has its mongrel supporters. Melbourne is no exception.

Too true. Nutcase Melbourne supporter behind me this arvo - could not stop going on about Tom Scully, lining up for the one million dollar goal, screaming at Melbourne to kick it when we were in a highly contested situation. Yelling's fine, but some people take it too far.

Always massive pot luck with fans.

You can sit there thinking they're all lovely while everyone else is surrounded by total bastards. Then the next week you've got somebody insane behind you and everyone else is fine.

Agreed. I always seem to score the "knowledgeable" types in my vicinity.

The ones around me were scum. Bagging Jim, bagging the club in general. Dogs.

They are the ones I always get. The one club in the AFL I really hate.

To many mongrel minded on Demonland. Pity it's been hijacked by over zealous emotional rants. Pity comments aren't thought out a bit more and better respect shown toward our players.

Anyone see the old feller get dragged out by 4 security blokes and coppers after being pepper sprayed. Crowd started chanting "you are a wa%ker" before he was dragged out with one bloke holding each limb. Was in the outer in one of the pockets up the punt road end I think at the end of the 3rd or start of the last. Started to really escalate cops and security running from everywhere and the crowd ready to join in. I was waiting for the guy to be dragged past me and I was expecting a huge muscley guy for how much force they used and then I saw what looked like a guy in his 60s. Pepper spray was a bit over the top, surely with all those cops they could have restrained him and dragged him out without blinding him.

Yeah we were sitting cheering quietly and clapping in the first when we hit the front briefly when the woman behind us said what are they clapping for??... and then said well i suppose after last week they need to clap....

Did you sit in the MCC, I heard exactly what you heard. Up top

I had this one lady behind me the whole game, posh b*tch in the MCC yer, when Scully got driven into the back in the last quarter and had the shot for goal she starts complaining how that isn't in the back. Ahh lady, he was almost used as a shovel to f**kin dig a new hole in the turf. So the replay comes on, oh he fell forwards, he dived. WTF. LADY, GTFO OF THE STADIUM. I almost turned around but it was the MCC and she was probably some rich b*tch so stuff that. Still I hate Carlton even more after today, they got lucky, if Strauss didn't get injured anything could've happened.

That's the sort of quality I'm always missing out on. Not enough nutters up top of the Ponsford, unlike the good old days of the old Ponsford when it was where all the freaks with smuggled in booze would go and smoke joints during the game. Great education as a kid!

Simple there is a ton of "doom & gloom" around here, a ton of negativity. A ton of looking to lay blame on the wrong people.

Carlton supporters are saying, its ok ... we have been where you are now & its wasnt that long ago.

Hang in their it will turn, but you HAVE to show faith, you have to keep your crowds & support up.

Desert the club now ... and we will take many, many years to get out of this negative downward spiral. B)
