Sylvia gone too ??

Rumours floating around radio TV and internet about Slyvia possibly going north to Sydney/ GWS and I think we all know now that Scully is gone losing these two who would both be top 5 at the club would be huge loss to the MFC.

This would set us back even further getting draft picks was good a few years ago but we can’t lose any hard experienced players for more skinny 18 year olds

I personally want players that are going to win us games now not playing Casey for 3-4 years developing

Give Slyvia the money he deserves $ 450 a year for 3 years its not to much MFC get it done !!

GWS can't take both. We would need to trade one of them

I don't want either to leave and I don't believe either will. That said, there is no way Sylvia is in our top 5. He plays one great 10 minute burst every 6 to 7 games. He's been on the list since '04 and still cannot garner consistency. If he could play the level of that Hawthorn game two years ago, he'd be an A-grader for sure, but I don't think it's in his psychological make up. Perhaps a hardarse coach will make him? Who knows?

I think Sylvia is right up there in the best players just look at the 2011 stats.

1st in Tackles

1st in Inside 50

3rd in Goals

3rd in Disposals

gotta be in top 5....

Once the Dust settles...We will know who wants to go and who wants to fight....

Is Colin Sylvia worth $450k per annum???

Sure wasn't last saturday....Show the club & supporters what you are worth Colin.....DO IT.

I have got to the stage now of...whoever wants to go...just go. No use trying to hold players whose hearts are elsewhere.

Definite top 5 Melbourne player. Great when he is switched on and has been good this year. Injuries and inconsistency have dogged his career. However, he has never been known for leadership qualities (which is our greatest need at the moment)and would consider trading him for a 23 - 25 yo player who has proven leadership qualities.

Trade him to Sydney like he wants to be and get something worthy....

Draft picks and Jesse White / Sam Reid / 1st rounder

No one deserves to ask for more money after being apart of a team that gets a coach sacked, and this is coming me, Col is in my top 3 fav players.

Sylvia is not worth 450K a year. If he played like he's worth it then fine but he aint.

If he wants to go, fine then bugger off up to GWS.

Wouldn't mind if we talked to WCE about a straight swap (Morton for Gaff) :)

Has he ever finished in the top 3 for the best and fairest?

Hell would freeze over before a Morton would ever pull on a Weagles jumper again. Col would dominate in a team like West Coast, probably wishful thinking but maybe Col + 1st rounder would get WC thinking about letting Gaff go back to Vic.

Only want those that want to play for Melbourne, only those that want to play all the minutes of all 4 qtrs of each and every game. Im fine if he doesnt . Get someone else.

Tmk.. Sylvia has never made it to the top 3 of the Bluey.

If he goes , he goes.

Time for a real good look at the list again this year.

I am convinced that no player is safe. If Sylvia wants to go, he can, but we will need to trade him.

If Scully goes, it will be indicative of major issues at the club, all but proving issues surrounding Schwab's position at the club.

i hope for the next 5 weeks most our list is on notice.

If these guys want good coin from the MFC, fine.

But they must give us sustained application....If last saturday was any sort of Revolt....well then point made...You killed a coaches job...Feel Good everybody.

Now move on and play some hard Football.

Scully will go because of Ca$h incentives....If he does we must just trade aggressively during trade week.

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
