Oh god please no

Azz , may I  suggest , with my usual humility of course, that when on this thread you focus on reading my contributions only. That will ensure the highest level of intellectual stimulation and also access to my life changing wisdom.

Put the rest of the pack on ignore. ( Knuckleheads for the most part in any case)

PS. Most definitely  ignore the bluster and rantings of our resident harridan.

Now I am a “knucklehead “?

What about enlightened leader?

Can we settle on enlightened knucklehead ?

I told your maid not to throw out your wine casks and to stop feeding you the dog biscuits.

I knew you would lose it.

I would kill for a compliment like that.

Not just here but in life.

In a weird way (don't judge), I've missed your negativity OD.

Wow, I don't know how many years I've been reading this thread and I still can't make sense of it 🤪

Can you imagine how the new member Orion will feel when he discovers this thread? I would describe it as the madhouse within the madhouse, disciplined by the "Governor" who has dubious control over it. Notice I didn't say "Moderator", it is unlikely this thread could be moderate.

Imagine trying to read this thread from start to finish I think you'd end up in a mental asylum dribbling all over yourself, muttering incoherently while rocking back and forth.

Actually that sounds like a Saturday night at @Bitter but optimistic's joint, Romsey's finest establishment for the mentally insane.

You might end up in the madhouse rocking backwards and forwards and mumbling incoherently, reading this thread from go to whoa but you'd be a Melbourne supporter and you'd be with other like ( twisted ) minded individuals, so there are two positives !!

I actually attempted this, Azz. When it got to the point where I’d forgotten all that’s good in the world, I stopped reading. So yeah, a couple of pages in.😁

The mods wouldn’t ever visit this thread, DW. As I’ve said before, that’d be akin to the CEO of a major hospital visiting the psych ward. Not happenin’

Besides, Andy is but one man. It’d take a crack team of hundreds of mods to clean this [censored] up.

We don’t need any cleaning up on here, BBO’s maid comes in every week to tidy up.

Get sick of all the do gooders sometimes.

Sir Knucklehead? I guess Earl would have to be Lord Knucklehead, which leaves the rest of us as Knuckleheaded Peasants ... 😁

BBO I heard that an electricity guy was in your area yesterday. Hope he wasn’t turning off the power at the manor for unpaid bills, especially before the match sims.

Not to worry if he did, as I am sure the local rag, the Romsey Times, will carry a full report on the games.

Red,I am sure you will be pleased to know that Manorial finances are quite buoyant at the moment. ( Cutting staff wages always helps)

A story. Some years ago I had giant pitbull ( who lived a long happy and eventful life) who demonstrated his dislike of electricity salesman in , shall be we say a very strident manner. The word must have spread, as subsequently, I have very few touts knocking on my door.

The meter readers are quite safe as they use some sort of advanced technology to complete their business from afar.

  • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

The media has performed a complete reversal in its coverage of the Melbourne Football Club over the past month and a half. Having endured intense criticism from all quarters in the press, which continually identified new avenues for scrutiny of every aspect, both on and off the field, and prematurely speculated about the departures of coaches, players, officials, and various employees from a club that lost its first five matches and appeared out of finals contention, the narrative has suddenly shifted to one of unbridled optimism.  The Demons have won five of their last six matches, positioning themselves just one game (and a considerable amount of percentage) outside the top eight at the halfway mark of the season. They still trail the primary contenders and remain far from assured of a finals berth.

  • REPORT: Sydney

A few weeks ago, I visited a fellow Melbourne Football Club supporter in hospital, and our conversation inevitably shifted from his health diagnosis to the well-being of our football team. Like him, Melbourne had faced challenges in recent months, but an intervention - in his case, surgery, and in the team's case, a change in game style - had brought about much improvement.  The team's professionals had altered its game style from a pedestrian and slow-moving approach, which yielded an average of merely 60 points for five winless games, to a faster and more direct style. This shift led to three consecutive wins and a strong competitive effort in the fourth game, albeit with a tired finish against Hawthorn, a strong premiership contender.  As we discussed our team's recent health improvement, I shared my observations on the changes within the team, including the refreshed style, the introduction of new young talent, such as rising stars Caleb Windsor, Harvey Langford, and Xavier Lindsay, and the rebranding of Kozzy Pickett from a small forward to a midfield machine who can still get among the goals. I also highlighted the dominance of captain Max Gawn in the ruck and the resurgence in form in a big way of midfield superstars Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver.
