Demonland.... where fruit is the excuse for soft porn.

Moonie we are all herb lovers here so not sure what your reference to fruit is all about?

And now we add herbology.

It is going to be a very long list soon, Redleg

Some advice needed! Had to visit my GP this week to have the Brazillian checked out. Her comments went something like this -

DR. Now that (problem X) has been sorted out, we need to work on your general health.

I sat quietly, as I could see where this conversation was going.

DR. Your drinking - it is foolishly excessive!

(my lovely GP i8s of Eastern European heritage and is quite authoritarian in her manner.)

I continued to sit timidly.

DR. Your first aim must be four alcohol free days per week.

I began to swoon.

DR. What is is wrong?

I said that I didn't think I could drink enough on the remaining three days to make up for the four days abstinence.

DR. Don't be foolish. Record your daily drinking and see me in two weeks.

Now as I am quite terrified of this woman I shall "fudge the books" and show her a totally invented record.

I could, of course change physicians, but apart from her very conservative view of a healthy intake of wine, she is very good.

As there appear to be plenty of drunks and addicts on this thread, I would welcome your comments.

I have tried to find fault with your thinking BBO but, once again, it is flawless. Four days of abstinence does seem excessive. Can I suggest that you make a counter offer of one day?

That too, seems excessive RTG. However, I thank you for your concern.

so bbo, she had no problems with your fags, drugs er supplements and self flaggelation?

i'd quit why you are ahead and just drop the grog (compensate with the other)

Change GPs immediately .

She sounds like she got her degree in some back yard lab in Eastern Block Poland .

You need to find a french Dr-a philanderer and a Drunk if possible .

At least then you will have something in common with your GP and not fear the next visit.

I also suggest you bring a slab for him which should help avoid the GP tax for a few visits.

Wine is made from grapes, I class this as a fruit drink. Fruit is good for you.

Mgdee, my thinking is similar to your own on this. Bitter, on the 3 days permitted by your doctor you drink red wine, on the other four days you drink fruit juice (just neglect to mention to Doc thay it is of the fermented grape variety).

This way, in essence, you are telling the truth, and Doc is happy.

A win-win for all concerned - the perfect solution.

Home at last.

Back to hear about the lastest adventures at the Gat and the other depravities, in the lives of BBO and Biff.

And of course the magnificent graphics of DF.

PS. Guys get WJ to send a photo of his latest girlfriend Zoe, a lady he picked up on his current Panama cruise.

That's what indirectly strarted this thread.

It drives the world in many ways Red.

Being a man of strong moral principles, I will not get in that car.

Being a man of strong moral principles, I will not get in that car.

Merely an observation Red, however, you must recognize the realpolitic of what I said. Better the honest bullshite of dland rather than the dishonest bullshite that we face daily.

Being a man of strong moral principles, I will not get in that car.

Moral superiority must be lonely Redleg.

Like being at a party full of fun loving girls with few morals whilst training to be a priest.

I suppose technically Lawyers never lie-they just bend the truth into a pretzel .

I thought pussie ruled the world?

so did i,for the first 45 years of my life.

then i realised my mistake and bowed to the almighty dollar.

And we add Lawyer bashing.

And we add Lawyer bashing.

We do.

We do.

Yes we do, according to this, by you, "I suppose technically Lawyers never lie-they just bend the truth into a pretzel ."

Obviously seen too many defences, of the inhabitants of the Gat".

It isn't lying, rather it is being creative with the truth.

Redleg, are there any new topics you'd like to introduce to this thread?

  • PREVIEW: Fremantle

A month is a long time in AFL football. The proof of this is in the current state of the two teams contesting against each other early this Saturday afternoon at the MCG. It’s hard to fathom that when Melbourne and Fremantle kicked off the 2025 season, the former looked like being a major player in this year’s competition after it came close to beating one of the favourites in the GWS Giants while the latter was smashed by Geelong to the tune of 78 points and looked like rubbish. Fast forward to today and the Demons are low on confidence and appear panic stricken as their winless streak heads towards an even half dozen and pressure mounts on the coach and team leadership.  Meanwhile, the Dockers have recovered their composure and now sit in the top eight. They are definitely on the up and up and look most likely winners this weekend against a team which they have recently dominated and which struggles to find enough passages to the goals to trouble the scorers. And with that, Fremantle will head to the MCG, feeling very good about itself after demolishing Richmond in the Barossa Valley with Josh Treacy coming off a six goal haul and facing up to a Melbourne defence already without Jake Lever and a shaky Steven May needing to pass a fitness test just to make it onto the field of play.

  • NON-MFC: Round 06

The Easter Round kicks off in style with a Thursday night showdown between Brisbane and Collingwood, as both sides look to solidify their spots inside the Top 4 early in the season. Good Friday brings a double-header, with Carlton out to claim consecutive wins when they face the struggling Kangaroos, while later that night the Eagles host the Bombers in Perth, still chasing their first victory of the year. Saturday features another marquee clash as the resurgent Crows look to rebound from back-to-back losses against a formidable GWS outfit. That evening, all eyes will be on Marvel Stadium where Damien Hardwick returns to face his old side—the Tigers—coaching the Suns at a ground he's never hidden his disdain for. Sunday offers two crucial contests where the prize is keeping touch with the Top 8. First, Sydney and Port Adelaide go head-to-head, followed by a fierce battle between the Bulldogs and the Saints. Then, Easter Monday delivers the traditional clash between two bitter rivals, both desperate for a win to stay in touch with the top end of the ladder. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?

  • REPORT: Essendon

What were they thinking? I mean by “they” the coaching panel and team selectors who chose the team to play against an opponent who, like Melbourne, had made a poor start to the season and who they appeared perfectly capable of beating in what was possibly the last chance to turn the season around. It’s no secret that the Demons’ forward line is totally dysfunctional, having opened the season barely able to average sixty points per game which means there has been no semblance of any system from the team going forward into attack. Nevertheless, on Saturday night at the Adelaide Oval in one of the Gather Round showcase games, Melbourne, with Max Gawn dominating the hit outs against a depleted Essendon ruck resulting from Nick Bryan’s early exit, finished just ahead in clearances won and found itself inside the 50 metre arc 51 times to 43. The end result was a final score that had the Bombers winning 15.6 (96) to 8.9 (57). On balance, one could expect this to result in a two or three goal win, but in this case, it translated into a six and a half goal defeat because they only managed to convert eight times or 11.68% of their entries. The Bombers more than doubled that. On Thursday night at the same ground, the losing team Adelaide managed to score 100 points from almost the same number of times inside 50.
