It's a mad, mad, mad world gone bananas when I read news stories suggesting that Neil Craig is about to be appointed coach of Brisbane and Dean Bailey a strong possibility for the gig at Essendon (lips please don't unpurse). It wouldn't surprise me if Mark Neeld bobbed up somewhere too (Carlton as assistant to Mick).

I actually heard a rumour of just that...Neeld to go back with Mickey....It is a mad mad mad mad world .

My understanding is they never left.

Well I have to say it feels good looking forward to watching two games this weekend and not really caring who wins.

I will just enjoy the games for their own sake.

Complete calm and enjoyment.

Would I swap this for the gut wrenching feelings when your own team is involved?

In a heart beat to see the Dees in a PF.

I hope I have enouigh of them left to see it happen again.

But what the hell.

Its a grand old flag Milawa version was not only sung for the senior victory reported previously

But I was informed last night that the Milawa football and netball teams won every grand final at every level in the league last week. The 4 netball teams included teams that had not lost a game for the season and the under 17,s was the only flag they didnt win as they have a combined whourouly milawa side

perhaps we need to send some of the melbourne boys up to learn a little bit about the path to success.

    Fremantle hosted the Demons on a sunny 20-degree Saturdayafternoon winning the toss and electing to defend in the first quarter against the 3-goal breeze favouring the Parry Street end. There was method here, as this would give the comeback queens, the Dockers, last use of the breeze. The Melbourne Coach had promised an improved performance, and we did start better than previous weeks, winning the ball out of the middle, using the breeze advantage and connecting to the forwards.

    Calling all fit players. Expect every available Melbourne player to board the Virgin cross-continent flight to Perth for this Round 4 clash on Saturday afternoon at Fremantle Oval.     With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.
