Well beaten by several mollydee. Good research too on the Biffenator.

He's probably right about them not racing one another. Sepoy will have to step up to face the BC. Oakleigh Plate form suggests there's better opposition anyway after having the sit of the race.

"The sit " is not out in front mate .Au contraire

In the running it had the sit behind the horse in front, in second. Last time I looked that wasn't out in front. It may have spent some petrol tickets getting to that position early, as instructed maybe, but it was certainly swamped over the final 200m in a 1100m race.

And yes, they still haven't met, but that's beside the point. Sepoy has 10 wins from 12 starts now.

I hesitate to advise but Briefed at Sandown today at 3.58, should run well as track is softer for him.

Couldn't agree more . He was pushed very hard out of the barrier to be in the front mix . Can't expect a young horse carrying 58 kg to turn it on at both ends of the race

Apologies guys, I arrived in Brisbane just as the rain hit up there and returned to Melbourne as the storms hit last night, I think it's following me again.

Did you go to Wang last night?

Or Kansas?

Beldara to win race 3 at Flem .

Currently $9.30 to $1

How did Briefed go the other day, Redleg?

Better than the jockey. Damien Oliver got off and told the trainer it was one of his poorer rides and the horse was never given a chance. Finally got him out when last with 100m to go and he flew home for 6th. Hope he can win next time.

Shows how dangerous it is when Oliver had a bad fall last night. Hopefully he is ok.

Noble Game at 3.58 at Bendigo sunday and Man of Awe monday 1.35 Warnambool.

Had at least one win at Flemington today

Anyone watch the joke that passed for a game of AFL at Launceston yesterday?

No but I noticed you know who was not among the best players

Good to see he was ok, it looked a terrible fall.

Went to Etihad and enjoyed our first win there in years. Liked the look of Davis. Big strong boy who goes hard and can play. Think Joel Mac has been terrible and his turnovers unbelievable. Watts struggling a bit, but will come good. Loved the aggression from our players. We are a new side.

Apparently he was discharged from hospital about 1am. After a few hours sleep he did some usual fitness stuff, felt ok and thought he saw no reason why he couldn't ride . Lucky guy .

I sometimes get scared when I am in a paddock with a few yearlings that get a bit playful. Imagine riding a racehorse in a tight field at full gallop, just frightening.

There have been some strange selections in the NAB cup so far with some guys getting very little ground time, who I would have thought need it and others a lot. Howe was subbed off in 2nd quarter after palying well. Tom Mc got hardly any time at all. Gysberts got 1 quarter. Tynan got hardly any time.

It might be something to do with loads but I can't work it out.

How GOOD is it to be able to talk about footy again!

Don't worry too much about the jocks-they are like cats .

I worry more about my cash-Olly being about the only exception.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Collingwood

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
