Just walked past Tom concentrating hard and holding a very small bundle with Ruby following behind with a pram and blond kids in Fitzroy this afternoon. Odd I didnโ€™t pick up it was him until I was right next to him. Usually these tall AFL athletes stand out from streets away. He certainly has slimmed down.ย

Might be a Tom McDonald thing. Once ypon a time I was at a cafe at one of those fashionable giant semi-communal tables and Tom was sitting opposite me the entire I leafed through the football news and checked demonland on my phone. I was even wearing the scarf. He enjoyed the double-take when I finally twigged as I was getting up.

That's hilarious!

I did something similar once with Wil Anderson at airport security. Was literally listening to the Wilosophy podcast while in line.ย  Security guard and Wil both complimented my socks when I went through the scanner.ย  I turned round, finally clocked him and blurted out "Thank you, Wil Anderson" and ran off haha

No doubt you all know one of my granddaughters is a keen basketballer. We are up in Bendigo for the annual competition over this weekend. She is in a new team ( new for all the team they have just been formed) a level up on her domestic team which she still plays in as well. Last night they had a hard fought winย  by 1 point. After a few trail games this was their first win, by 1 point. It was the first time they looked like they were playing as a team. If I have had a more enjoyable win at any sport I cannot remember it. Watching a group who didn't know each come together as a team was fantastic. 2 more games today. Who knows what that will bring but they now have greater confidence in each other. For me it is the joy of team sport.

Don't forget to swing by the clinic on the way home from the airport big fellow.

And remember too, to send cards to all the little Uncles on their birthdays.

Today could be an ice cold, banana smoothie day, given the predicted 41 degrees temperature in Victoria.

Had a green juice the other day. Itโ€™s just not the same.

Uhmโ€ฆ 43 degrees. Yes, those two extra degrees matter.

Idk about yโ€™allโ€™s neck of the woods but here in the stabbing capital of Victoria itโ€™s actually raining.ย

โ€œLittle sheet rackโ€ ๐Ÿ˜‚ Love it!

Thereโ€™s likely indoor training today and Iโ€™m guessing itโ€™s at AAMI rather than Casey because the boys have to front up along with us this arvo for the filming of the Fox Footy ad.ย

That rain we had this morning has only served to make it even steamier now. Itโ€™s a sauna out there ๐Ÿ˜ญ

ย Forsaking bananas for green juice! I am surprised you are still alive Mr. Leg. There must have been a very strong roof in the building. Green juice is for cows!ย

Was that a personal insult?

I am wondering whether to feel hurt and take umbrage.

PS: Where is Uncle Bitter, havenโ€™t seen him around here for a while?

I hope he hasnโ€™t fallen into the moat.
