Never owned a "Sandman " bb .... but ,back in  the day, I was the proud owner of an EH panel van.

Did some damage in that!

I don't doubt that for a second!

Ah the Valiant.

That one was really tarnished with the racism brush and secondly with some actual basis, mechanical issues.

Who on earth’s buying one of these? That is, apart from maybe Mrs McKay or Mrs King or Mrs De Koning or Mrs Sooky-Scott. That’s two teams, but three?!

That said, the one that incorporates the home strip and the away strip of one team would be pretty cool.

yeah uncle, reminds me of the half-woman, half-man at the showground sideshows.

Yeah dc, I  went in to see that - late 60's I reckon! Given the lack of technological assistance at the time it was actually quite clever.

Not sure I've been the same since.

Have the AFL instigated new jumpers?

Logical extension, and progeny, of the Gather Round and Equalisation.

No. No, we don’t.

Besides, it’d have to be more like 90:10. You’re not capturing the essence of BBO if you were to diminish his 7XL red n blue kaftan with matching red n blue crocs.

Pretty ridiculous but great for the mother of two kids playing for different teams or even the mother (Not as die hard as yourself WCW) who has two sons who barrack for two different teams and just wants everyone to have a good time!

My first encounter with something like this was in 2000 when I went to watch a Sandringham game against St Kilda's then stand alone VFL side at Beach Rd. I remember the late Trevor Barker's father there wearing a half St Kilda half Sandy jumper and I just remember thinking that was the best and sweetest thing ever.

Anyone else silly enough to have watched the cricket through to stumps this morning? I’m paying for it now, but what a joy to see us pound that Indian attack. Travis Head was superb. Steve Smith was Steve Smith. Hoping for another similar day tonight / tomorrow where we bat them out of this test.

It's wonderful that on this thread we can discuss all topics, not just restricted to AFL.

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.
