Come on Luci admit it ............... I reckon you're the love struck sheila that keeps sending those anonymous but doting little missives to The Manor.

Pondering my possible response:

  • ignore the post:Ā  too late now!
  • post what I'm thinking :Ā  you should be so lucky!!!
  • take back my comment about feeling sorry for you...definitely!

Having a mini meltdown right now. No one I know is up this early on a Saturday so please humour me DL. I’m outside the ā€˜G sitting on a bench passing time coz early for a player sponsor function where I’ll get to chat with Langers and Fritta (the real Langers and Fritta, not my chooks) and this enormous excited dog came bounding towards me with a sopping wet tennis ball in his mouth and long story short now I’m covered in dog-slobber and muddy water!!! I’ve used the entire contents of my water bottle trying to remove the mud and now I look like I’ve wet myself. 😭😭😭

Of course he’ll see it and of course he’ll have something less than complimentary to say about it.

All good now anyways. I dried off in the sun before the event started and all that’s left as a reminder of my personal 9/11 is a couple of paw prints on my pastel mint green bag. But it actually looks good. Might be the start of a new fad…

Lucky bugger-all people read this thread (only a special few of us anyways) else everyone would now know my name. My assumed name that is, for my real name is Ɓine, pronounced awn-ya. Hadda anglicise it upon emigrating to Australia since I didn’t like being called ā€œayneā€ which rhymes with ā€œpainā€ if you get my drift. 😭

I fear people don't realise that the correct pronunciation of WalkingCivilWar is "Waenci'ghour".

Well they weren’t there before I was bowled over. Safe to say they’re the big clumsy bugger’s prints.

You clearly haven’t seen our Demon Army ponchos. They may not be fashionable or flattering, but they’d withstand any amount of any animal pee. After all, they keep us dry and warm at Casey.Ā

As I said Ernest my first game since the demise of the Tigers, we go to watch our GD every game and I go to lower league matches.

The GD1 won their game today, as they say wins are gainers. She copped a heavy knock to the floor in the last 30 seconds. On the way home she said I know her and her number there will be a next time!Ā

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.Ā
