Harsh! He'd be left to drink cough medicine and turpentine.

Not a moniker that would play well at a job interview, Layzie...

What about in an ironic but opposite way like Little John or Tiny the massive bouncer?

Yes if you pass the rigorous training, which would make Survivor and That Jungle Celebrity tv show look like picnics.

A total dislike of the Blues is a basic requirement, for even enrolling in the course.

We may have a situation here, Red. The Blues are my second team. Soz.

yes, looks can be deceiving it seems

peel back a few layers and what have we got........a bluebagger!

i think you might be due for re-education, wcw. you can have storm as your second team, if you must

No Daise! it’s the complete reverse: I peeled back a couple of navy and white layers (one of them being my Bruce 11 Doull duffel coat) many years ago to reveal a red and blue core. I’m a Demon through and through!!!

His environmental credentials, at least, are impeccable.

#judge/book/cover, @WalkingCivilWar?

WCW, having now seen a photo of you on another thread and seeing what an attractive and normal person you appear to be, I am now banning Uncle Bitter from any further harassment of you on this thread, DL or in person.

What, just because WCW is good looking she gets favourable protection from you on this thread? I don’t think that is very fair to those of us that are not so good looking. As for appearing normal, you have been taken in by this devious woman. But while seriously deranged, she does have a good heart,  and it is for that reason, and that reason alone that she deserves our care and respect - not because she is good looking. I didn’t think you were so shallow Red.

Awww thanks Red. If only everyone on this forum was even half as sweet as you. 😘 And by “everyone” I mean BBO.

Oi NC! It’s not often I get compliments like this, so I’m grabbing them with both hands (and feet). Red is the creator of this thread, he should be free to say whatever he likes, the shallower the better. 😁

I have to say that constantly being maligned and made the butt of jokes on this thread is wearing me down.

I'll admit I like a drink a bit overmuch .... and yes , I have a triple x gut ... but I'm really quite a sensitive chap. You know .... I'm basically a  if you [censored] me do I not bleed type of fellow.

Yes I know there's some harassment charges to be dealt with ...but I'm confident I'll be exonerated. ( just a simple misunderstanding)

And of course there's the matter concerning  outstanding wages to The Manor's domestic staff - but that's just some sort of bookkeeping error I'm sure.

And there are one or two other matters before the courts - but nothing too serious. ( Although the issue of foreign nationals has become intertwined  with the wage issue.  I'm confident however, the court will support my contention that I simply used the wrong exchange rate)

All just normal everyday stuff really. It could happen to anyone.

So show a bit of compassion to poor old Uncle Bitter.

( I mean if nut jobs, not naming anyone of course, get shown courtesy and are given special privileges why shouldn't a decent old battler like my good self get similar treatment?)

As they say in the classics WCW, “ you can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make them drink”.

You’re so full of [censored] it’s not funny.

We all know to whom you refer when you say “nut job” and I’d rather you go with @Neil Crompton’s description, “seriously deranged but with a good heart” which is closer to the truth.

You make very good points.

I will use them in my next Court appearance for a malcontent.

I always knew there was a half decent fellow inside that reprobate shell.

Dearest WCW, do not descend to Uncle Bitter or his nephew Neil’s level, as even Australia’s biggest crane won’t be able to reach down into the hole you will find yourself in.

You must remain an on top of the ground type of girl.

PS: the protection will extend to your Fritta bear too.

Red, was wondering if this mini Fritta bear (which I modified) could also be given protection…

Protection from Fritta that is. Everyone else thought it was funny, especially his parents. Fritta, not so much. He seemed most unimpressed.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
