Either deranged and in need of a white jacket, or smarter than we give her credit for and has fooled us all.

I’m going with seriously deranged.

Me too.

IF ONLY Uncle Bitters was playing “hard to get.” At this point I’d settle for him playing “not so pathetically easy to get.”

Thank you for not imposing a ban. Highly magnanimous of you.
Geez what does a gal hafta do to get a ban around here??? 🙄

I think we have to show some compassion for Uncle Bitters.

He has lost his two pet dogs.

His moat has dried up.

His butler quit and his maid is getting uppity.

His favourite wine cask is out of stock at the general store.

The Dees have not won a game for months.

That is a lot to deal with and I think he needs some kind words from all of us.

What the hell is going on with my posts on this thread?

Occasionally when I post it says I need approval.

Far out… people need to get out more. Offended by comments about a fictitious-person.

Edited out that horrible “m” word

I had "What's a girl gotta do...?" typed in after Mr Leg's 12:48 PM yesterday but deleted it. Appropriation is so non-PC these days.

But, 'Great minds...' n all that!

Whoops. Seems I’ve breached the No T$ rule by accidentally mentioning Tom Scully. Whoops, did it again.

I apologise sincerely, Redleg.

Mete out my punishment and I shall accept it without ado.

I understand a ban from this thread is the standard form of punishment. The longer the better. So be it.

This is the one from West Adelaide, isn’t it?

In which case no rules have been broken.

Just looking back at old posts here to find how things have changed.

Would have loved to have had the chance to tell the poster that we will win the flag in 2021.. and more to follow. Just saying.....

Well you could post that we are going to win the 2023 flag. That might be nice.

Yes OD, a rather interesting conundrum.

the only solution to such technical loop-holes would be just to add the surname [censored] to the banned names list

i'm sure your contacts in the demonland hierarchy could do us that small favour

Not confident of that DC. There have been times when he wanted to close us down.

A great idea DC.

I can see that you are more than just a good looking human being.

Notice how I satisfied the woke minority with my description of you.

WJ can you please arrange to ban the surname of the unmentionable on this thread, or DL in general.

Well it’s a new year and I think we have to fix up a major problem on here.

WCW and Uncle Bitters is just too volatile a romantic relationship to continue. It is just too distressing for the posters on here, being dragged into your various issues.

As self appointed Chairman ( Dictator), of the thread, I am decreeing that from now on, the two of you will be platonic best friends only and that should solve the problem.

It’s up to you two now, so enjoy your new best friend.

For the rest of you, I wish you all a happy, healthy and safe New Year and of course another Dees flag, the first of a trifecta of flags for us in the next 3 years.

Bah to you all - particularly lawyers !

As to WCW - good lord ! A demented termagant if ever I've seen one !

I wish myself a prosperous and ever more decadent 2023!

Pleased to have enlightened you Red.

Surely you must agree my usage of that word  was elegant, accurate and appropriate to the context.

  • PREVIEW: Sydney

The two teams competing at the MCG on Sunday afternoon have each traversed a long and arduous path since their previous encounter on a sweltering March evening in Sydney a season and a half ago. Both experienced periods of success at various times last year. The Demons ran out of steam in midseason while the Swans went on to narrowly miss the ultimate prize in the sport. Now, they find themselves outside of finals contention as the season approaches the halfway mark. The winner this week will remain in contact with the leading pack, while the loser may well find itself on a precipice, staring into the abyss. The current season has presented numerous challenges for most clubs, particularly those positioned in the middle tier. The Essendon experience in suffering a significant 91-point loss to the Bulldogs, just one week after defeating the Swans, may not be typical, but it illustrates the unpredictability of outcomes under the league’s present set up.

  • REPORT: Brisbane

“Max Gawn has been the heart and soul of the Dees for years now, but this recent recovery from a terrible start has been driven by him. He was everywhere again, and with the game in the balance, he took several key marks to keep the ball in the Dees forward half.” - The Monday Knee Jerk Reaction: Round Ten Of course, it wasn’t the efforts of one man that caused this monumental upset, but rather the work of the coach and his assistants and the other 22 players who took the ground, notably the likes of Jake Melksham, Christian Petracca, Clayton Oliver and Kozzie Pickett but Max has been magnificent in taking ownership of his team and its welfare under the fire of a calamitous 0-5 start to the season. On Sunday, he provided the leadership that was needed to face up to the reigning premier and top of the ladder Brisbane Lions on their home turf and to prevail after a slow start, during which the hosts led by as much as 24 points in the second quarter. Titus O’Reily is normally comedic in his descriptions of the football but this time, he was being deadly serious. The Demons have come from a long way back and, although they still sit in the bottom third of the AFL pack, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel as they look to drive home the momentum inspired in the past four or five weeks by Max the Magnificent who was under such great pressure in those dark, early days of the season.

  • CASEY: Southport

The Southport Sharks came to Casey. They saw and they conquered a team with 16 AFL-listed players who, for the most part, wasted their time on the ground and failed to earn their keep. For the first half, the Sharks were kept in the game by the Demons’ poor use of the football, it’s disposal getting worse the closer the team got to its own goal and moreover, it got worse as the game progressed. Make no mistake, Casey was far and away the better team in the first half, it was winning the ruck duels through Tom Campbell’s solid performance but it was the scoreboard that told the story.

  • PREGAME: Sydney

Just a game and percentage outside the Top 8, the Demons return to Melbourne to face the Sydney Swans at the MCG, with a golden opportunity to build on the momentum from toppling the reigning premiers on their own turf. Who comes in, and who makes way?
