Correct Ernest I am very spiritual after half a bottle of single malt.

After 53 years OD I would have thought you would be up to half a case of single malt by now?

I was shocked to discover that Redleg will not be attending Moonee Valley Racecourse this afternoon for the running of the WS Cox Plate and has instead chosen to travel to the land of the bananabenders on some undisclosed and mysterious mission.

And what on earth has happened to the countdown?

I am booked on the Kanazawa to Kyoto express train tomorrow morning but just found out it is the Thunderbird Express leaving at 9.05 a.m. I wonder if they will let me on board? I didn't pack a disguise for this trip either!

Crickey demonland is deadly dull atm.

In the good old days you could throw a bone to Stuie and fire things up. Of course the immoderators would call this "baiting" and poor old Uncle Bitter would get some rehab.

Arrh gotta miss Stuie!

Bitters, you do need to admit to your many personal issues before rehab will have any chance of working.

So, it was important to show your bro love for Mr Stuie by saying you miss him.

Good to see you have started to take little steps on your long road to recovery.

Keep up the good work.

Frog, the well of personal issues would be too deep and sinister for Uncle.

No amount of rehab would ever work because Uncle would need to admit to his problems and face his demons.

Remember that Uncles "normal" is not anyone else's normal.

The only rehab that has worked for me was dealing with alcohol, and then to borrow a line, "I had to do it drunk".

Is this what my life has been reduced to?

Criticism and personal analysis from a demented frog and a dead hack.

FMD - before you know it I'll be drinking cask wine!

I am guzzling sake at the moment! The locals aren't impressed. Not bad you should try it Uncle. It lies somewhere between chateau cardboard and top shelf.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
