The Thai place. Reputation for being on the cheap side so if we want to attract classy people to the feast like BBO, Biffen and your good self OD, we have to take that step up and provide a classier venue.

Now that the Gat's been sold and all but forgotten, I don't suppose it's once sumptuous dining facilities are available?

Be careful in what you wish for Jack.

While I am certainly of genteel ilk and OD is probably acceptable (despite seeming to prefer Pinot to Shiraz) Biffen is another matter.

Biffen would consider munching a Big Mac while sitting on the dunny as "classy" eating.

Ignore BBO please WJ,

He prefers to eat from a trough so i doubt he can advise on matters cultural.

If it is Thai food we decide upon BBO will be offering money to the waitresses during the meal.

We will need to explain to him that you cannot pay a "bar fine" in Australia that allows a customer to grope the girls.

Also-a sophisticate like myself would never drink a heavy red with a delicate style of food.

Pinot and Reisling if we are dining in a Siamese restaurant.

How good is Danger? He made Buddy look like a waste of space. His aggression at the contest and his speed make him nearly unstoppable. He is a match winner.

We don't have one.

Spot on Mr. Leg and until we get one the cup is safely in someone else's hands.

Disagree thoroughly, OD. Dangerfield was good, no doubt about that, but the evenness and consistency of the rest of the Geelong team was the key. Buddy is a champion, but couldn't hit the side of a barn last night. All players have such days, but the Swans had no one else who stepped up. For me, it was a classic case of a champion team vs a team of champions. We don't need another Tilbrook; we just need 22 players like Jack Viney.

We need players with more talent than Viney. 22 just hard at its with moderate skills will not win a flag R and B

It is all about 2018.

Have Faith!

As my memories of being at the last finals game that the MFC played fades, I do recall a few things.

1) singing the Club song as our team ran on to the ground.

2) my dislike of anything Fremantle.

3) my desire to win a flag.

4) our need for a better team.

5) my dislike of losing (especially to Freo).

It is hard to believe that was in 2006.

Faith has not got us a flag for more than half a century DF.

I am all out of faith.

A list of good players plus a few stars  all pulling in the right direction has a good chance.

True if you are talking about Grand Final wins.

But th last finals game, I was there with the other 1,999 MFC supporters. It was a sad night at Subiaco Oval.

He has wimped it DF.

some crap about being too far away and is counting by months.

Can you believe it?

Sounds like he has the very same problem he is berating the team for.

Not enough endeavour.

Sad but some struggle to go the distance DF.

Not sure if this made the Australian media but it certainly makes one stop and think ... what the hell was he doing:

  • REPORT: Fremantle

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.
