Things have quiet on this thread.

I've been trying to frame my response to MD's piece of artwork above in a way that won't get me banned. It was a pun ..but I just can't get it right.

Noticed Biffen bobbed up with his usual low humour last night. He commence a bender after the football last Sunday and must have surfaced yesterday. I hope Earl Hood has recovered from his unfortunate encounter - no doubt he will dine out on the story at some/many hipster hangouts.

Must say, even I was a bit disgusted when Moonie confessed to an interest in his MIL's bum - some people.

Anyway poor old Uncle Bitter has been under the weather this week - finally coming good. A quiet weekend at the Manor beckons.

Bbo it is natural to have lewd thoughts about Penny, my concern is your attraction to Sheldon's mother.

Father .......... , my confessor in about grade 6, could never see that.

BBO was ,by all reasonable reckoning, a very ugly child and as such enjoyed a safe passage through Catholic Education.

Years of therapy have enabled me to admit that this was true - despite the cute little curls and dresses.

If you blokes are worried about things being quiet on this thread then perhaps it's time for me to revive my threat of closing it down again?

This would ensure that RL comes out of his apparent self-induced stupor and also could scotch those rumours about Old Dee having reached the stage where rigor mortis has set in.

More likely OD is wallowing in the apparently limitless amounts of free Pinot he quaffs at his sister's winery.

To such events I might add, his dland mates remain sans invitation.

As to RL - perhaps he has rediscovered Redtube?

For OD, that an rigor mortis are practically the same thing.

As to RL - perhaps he has rediscovered Redtube?

In his case it was never undiscovered.

What's that Liam Neeson line from one of his movies? "I will hunt you down, I will find you, and then I will kill you..."

Uncle Bitter, that's the approach you should take to od's pinot stocks. Just make sure to invite Biff and I when you locate said pinot.

Funny you should mention that. I was only watching to see if we could recruit any guys who could really penetrate with their disposal, I have found plenty.

Unfortunately, accuracy is still a problem, as there has still been a lot of behinds scored.

I have come to the conclusion Bbo that you do not live in Romsey.

Every one of my invitations has been returned with " no such person exists in Romsey"

The one I sent with a photo attached was returned by the police along with a lecture about sending depraved photos through the post.

In conclusion you are missing a nice drop, I am planning a few glasses with some friends tomorrow.

I will be thinking of you .

What, you are not coming to Etihad to see us get smashed again, but would rather prefer to get smashed yourself at home?

I have to admit Jack my enthusiasm for the MFC has dropped since those the wonderful performances against trhe Bombers and Saints.

Still that is an improvement over the last four years usually I have run run out of enthusiasm by May.

A team of wild horses could not get me to that hole Redleg.

I enjoy my sanity to much to venture there after the last decade of torment.

A long Lunch with good friends and numerous glasses of my sisters Pinot wins easily.

You are obviously a true afficionado RL, a man who has given up many hours to study your subject of choice.

Not sure Bbo

What I do know is after supporting the Dees for 55 years I definitely have no brain.

You are getting technical once again RL.

Sometimes the target shifts in a fast match up.

The balls move at such a rapid rate from top to tail but the main thing is to know which team you follow.

    HIGHLIGHTS/LOWLIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Melbourne traveled across the continent to take on the Fremantle Dockers in sweltering conditions at Mandurah south of Perth in a game that delivered the club both its highlight and its lowlight in the first minute.  But first, let’s start by doing away with the usual cliches used in connection with the game. It was just a practice match and the result didn’t matter. Bad kicking is bad football. The game was played in severe heat, the swirly breeze played havoc with both teams resulting in

    TRAINING: Friday 28th February 2025

A couple of Demonland Trackwatchers headed down to Gosch's Paddock to bring you their observations from today's training session before the Demons head off to Perth for their final Practice Match. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Beautiful morning, not much wind, more than a couple of dozen spectators.  The players were up and about, boisterous and having fun. One of their last drills were three teams competing in a hard at it, handball game in a small area. Goody

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
