How she is not a bigger star than some of these no talents, who just get their gear off, beats me.

Another week and I'm back on the turps - happy days!

I wonder how the Girly Farmer from Peach Forest is going?

Forget the bananas, about 10 years ago I had some fabulous scallops from the Fisherman's CoOp in Carnarvon. They are all exported to Japan unless you show up to the factory outlet. Drove on to Coral Bay and cooked up a storm. Never had better since, although the surroundings may have influenced my thinking.

A question Earl Hood (just between you and me). Do these reminisces of better times help you through particularly traumatic moments when the shock and disappointment surrounding WYL's gong rears into your consciousness?

Scallops and prostate troubles.

You two should come and see how the rest of us live.

The last scallop I ate was not a scallop at all but I did not dare ask for the ingredients.

BBO on the contrary, in another thread I congratulated Sir WYL on his knighthood and stressed that we needed to stick together because at the time our beloved Prime Minister Tony Abbott, defender of the Aristocracy and the natural order, was under siege from his own party. Should he be toppled I truly feared that we faced the rule of the Mob! Tony survived but still I believe that without him we face a real and present threat to the natural order of things. Should the Mob rise up we all face ruin from Fitzroy to Romsey.

Maybe a hairy clam!

I am off to White Night in the city. No doubt BBO, Jazza and DC will also be going? I will be on the corner of Flinders and Swanston streets if you want catch up! I will be wearing a Demons tie. Shouldn't be too many people about.

Only about 400-500,000 others at it too Earl. Great if you like sweating shoulder to shoulder with a massive bunch of strangers whilst moving at a snail's pace. I'm sure there will be a projection on BBOs torso that will amaze you.

Is there also a Dark Day over there Earl?

Your thoughts have caused me some sleeplessness Earl Hood. I have a vision of a drug crazed and rabid Biffen leading a frenzied mob of addicts, prostitutes, illegal immigrants, abused asian brides and general malcontents in trying to steal what rightly belongs to the privileged class. While the lads and I would do our bit manning the barricades, the very body odour of such a bunch of maniacal Bolshies would be overwhelming. I could respond with a shot or two of fungal infection but it would be small jam indeed if they came close enough to use their extreme halitosis. We'd be done for.

I'm sure Tony has a plan for such contingencies but, if not, we'll have to look to our wise correspondent Mr Dolt . Anyway, I'm off to the club for a tonic.

That is certainly a colourful picture you paint and I must put it down partly to the dehydration and withdrawals you must gave suffered these past weeks.

My revolution is already occurring every day.

I am currently lobbying the government to lower the drinking age.

As a nation,we couldn't possibly be stupider but the commonwealth was built on rum and gin.

It's the only way to remove the jihadis- vomit on them.

Moon you were correct, thousands of people everywhere. I had hoped to rendezvous with DC, BBO and the lads at Flinders Street but unfortunately I could not get the horse and carriage through the mob. And yes the sweaty odour of the seething masses was quite off putting.

  • REPORT: Adelaide

The atmosphere at the Melbourne Football Club at the beginning of the season was aspirational following an injury-plagued year in 2024. Coach Simon Goodwin had lofty expectations with the return of key players, the anticipated improvement from a maturing group with a few years of experience under their belts, and some exceptional young talent also joining the ranks. All of that went by the wayside as the team failed to click into action early on. It rallied briefly with a new strategy but has fallen again with five more  consecutive defeats.

  • CASEY: Coburg

The Casey Demons returned to their home ground which was once a graveyard for opposing teams but they managed to gift the four points on offer to Coburg with yet another of their trademark displays of inaccuracy in front of goals and some undisciplined football that earned the displeasure of the umpires late in the game. The home team was welcomed by a small crowd at Casey Fields and looked right at home as it dominated the first three quarters and led for all bar the last five minutes of the game. In the end, they came away with nothing, despite winning everywhere but on the scoreboard and the free kick count.

  • PREGAME: Rd 18 vs North Melbourne

After four weeks on the road the Demons make their long awaited return to the MCG next Sunday to play in a classic late season dead rubber against the North Melbourne Kangaroos. Who comes in and who comes out?

  • POSTGAME: Rd 17 vs Adelaide

The Demons were wasteful early before putting the foot down early in the 2nd quarter but they chased tail for the remainder of the match. They could not get their first use of the footy after half time and when they did poor skills, execution and decision making let them down.
