Green - failed to inspire

Jones - couldn't get going

Watts - our only winner

Gysberts - disappointing and lethargic

Bennell - embarrassing and timid

Frawley - great second half

Trengove - tried so hard

Morton - played without passion

Sylvia - career worst game

McKenzie - performed as expected

Petterd - one great mark

Garland - loose and careless

Moloney - no armchair ride

Jurrah - a huge disappointment

Rivers - was always reliable

Scully - had no influence

Martin - not as effective

Howe - some brief involvement

Jamar - was untypically ineffective

Blease - made no impact

Strauss - not the worst

Nicholson - tried but failed

Petterd - one great mark

Joeboy - generally agree, but I thought Ricky worked hard tonight, and was better than that assessment suggests. And the mark certainly was awesome!

His use of the ball was embarrassingly bad. Amazing that he can't kick 50 metres. The Doggies' goals from 45-50m set shots in the last really showed up him & Green

On the other hand, should get credit for being one of the few who worked hard to get to it. Didn't do much with it though.

    Something struck me as I sat on the couch watching the tragedy of North Melbourne’s attempt to beat Collingwood unfold on Sunday afternoon at the MCG.    It was three quarter time, the scoreboard had the Pies on 12.7.79, a respectable 63.16% in terms of goal kicking ratio.
