Trengove noticeably lifts for the croweaters and Tapscott has joined that party.

Great pair.

Emmn, can't wait for another crow eater to join that trio, you forgot Jamar. Young Viney?

Scotty Thompson, lookout!

PS: Scotty, how did you go yesterdasy, against our best inside Mid, Beamer Moloney? I think we got Beamer to Melbourne when you left us...

Since the first few games last year I have believed that Trengove is a better kick than Scully.

It is one thing to get the ball but another to deliver it well.

he seldom misses the target I have a gut feel we are looking at a future B & F winner.

I have a gut feeling he'll be more than just a B&F winner. He'll be an absolute star.

Jack's serious Norm Smith medal material.

I thought Clint Bartram was in our best half dozen today for his tagging job on Thompson, we didnt get many chances to boo him thankfully! It did seem strange seeing Barts win centre clearances and even kick a goal, the first time in a long time I can remember him having an 'onball' tag for a couple of years...

Trengoves attack on the ball with an opponent coming in hard, to setup a goal on our attacking 50 metre line in that last quarter was inspirational. He had a ripping game yesterday!

Like your confidence BB but first we have to get there.

That unfortunately is some years off.

Happy for him to win a B&F in the mean time.

I agree DemonDave. Trengove spun 360 off a bump at half forward; while under pressure, handball-ed forward through traffic to the player in perfect position; goal. He get's only one handball stat but it's gold. You need see no more to know that you're watching a champion-in-the-making. The great thing is that there was so much more to watch.

On another thread, Demonlanders have referred to the old adage. "Looks like Tarzan, plays like..." Tapscott already looks like Tarzan & plays like King Kong. The steal of the 2009 draft.

I'm a very proud contented SA Demon this morning

They are both great young men, have met them both, JT more often and have found him to be a level headed and dedicated young man.

On the field he is going to be a star.

I cant beleive the lack of press he has received in his time.

If he was playing for the Tigers now you can guarantee he would have had a story about him on the back page today, as is the love fest for Martin at the moment.

It is also unbelievable that he could not crack it into the top 8 players for us in the Sun!!!

Personally I would not swap him for Martin no matter how good Martin is looking now.

I thought he was quite effective in the guts too. We can do with a couple more extractors and at the very least, if the ball is moving forward he is doing the job.

Good move yesterday by Bailey to have Bail in the back half and Bartram in the guts.

Credit due there.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
