I want the selectors, to put some more size into the side and experience.

Bate? Mcdonald? Newton? Petterd? Warnock? Jetta? Maric?

Hmmn, > Dunn, Morton, Bennell,,,,,, (Davey to start on the Bench)!

Posted

B: Garland, Warnock, Bartram

HB: Davey, Frawley, Grimes

C: Bail, Tapscott, Green

HF: Trengove, Rivers, Sylvia

FF: Jurrah, Dunn, Wonaemirri

Ruck: Jamar, Moloney, Watts

Int: Jones, Petterd, Gysberts

Sub: Blease

Warnock - Brining him in allows Rivers to go forward and give us some structure, his form for Casey also warrants selection and would be a good match up for Tippett/Walker

Davey - Move him back, lets see him play like he did in 2009 rebounding.

Tapscott - In the guts, provides some strength and some bloody committment

Rivers - You might think it's stupid but when he was drafted he was drafted as forward, just ended up playing back. Who could blame them, look at our tall defenders from 2003 Lamb, Nicholson.... please. Moving him to CHF gives some structure, leave Dunn if the square to use body.

Watts - In the centre from the bounce, let him get a feel of the footy... could be what kick starts his career. With Jamar, Bail, Moloney, and Tapscott around him he's full of protection.

Wonnaemirri/Maric - Take your pick!

im inclined to wait until reports of Sat training appear to see whos actually having a dip , whos avail etc. Given Sat will be lighter drills etc we really need a good spy ..lol ( somewhat ironic )

For many readers this will seem just this side of incredulous but Idont actually mind the idea of chucking Rivers down the sharper end. What the hell.. We have the likes of Warnock and McDonanld to cover in the back line. One thing I will give Riv is hes an excellent reader of the ball. Possibly in initialising a movement he can be quicker than trying to match an opponent. Kicking would need brushing up on. Could be interesting. Im finding him expensive down the other end..just my view.

I want Grimes and Tappy on opposing flanks..Put Davey on the wing but have him as a loose cannon around the half back line through the middle. Morton can have a run in the Magoos

I want Green in the middle...and working his little butt of ..and barking orders

I want Scully in, but that aint going to happen.

Not sure if it has been mentioned sicne the debacle last Thursday night, especially with the amount claiming that Richmond have gone ahead of us. But I ask one thing, how would Richmond be travelling without Dustin Martin in their side so far? Scully may or may not have taken that step forward like Dusty Martin, but there were games last year that you could easily see Scully had the potential to rip apart. There is absolutely no proof that says he would make a difference, but no proof that he wouldn't.

You could also compare it to taking Judd out of Carlton, I think you would find they would struggle a lot, but they would be a lot more competitive considering Murphy and Gibbs have been in the system for some time now.

Am I saying tha twe are a one-man team? Maybe, maybe not. While Jordie Mac has been an obvious loss so far this year, I wonder if Scully could have been in a position to take games by the balls like Dusty. Perhaps if he had been playing we would be sitting higher on the ladder praising Bail's?

Just food for thought!

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
