Dream teamers, i hope you have Cox in your team

Do we have only one kick out strategy???

You mean the "wait for the opposition to settle and zone and then watch your teammates stand around before kicking it to a pack/where Jamar is"? Yeah, that's the only one they have.

I hate to say it but were f-ing useless . Bailey your arse is Worsfold's and we are the great pretenders.

Slow to the contest , no leadership , green ... Is a pale variety .

Please make this but a bad dream we can wake up from!!

Laughable

Morton poor option going inswide 50.

I'll say it again. Morton is the softest [censored] ever to play for the Dees in my memory.

Scully might be watching this and thinking, the money at GWS might be worth it, cos he will prob win as many ghames upo there.

If I was Scully I'd like to know who's coaching the Dees in 2012. Jim might need to make some assurances.

I really though Green would be a better leader than McDonald.

Well I've been wrong before

How can west coast get so much space? How can brad green be so good in 2010 and so poor since been captain in 2011? How can morton only touch the ball twice and turn it over each time? How can bailey possibly earn a coaching extension? How can the umpiring be so appallingly against us interstate? How can I find any positives apart from watts? How can I have so many questions but so few answers?

morton is soft

Col Garland is the only one showing ticker

To sum Melbourne up .. They're all waiting for someone else to do the hard work.

PATHETIC

inside 50's 34 to 11 but apparently we have a game plan

Colin, nice goal but seriously if you want to step up to elite........

You have to chase............ [censored]

do we even have a game plan for going inside 50?

do we ever look to construct an inside 50 that sees someone have a set shot inisde 50?

We are a very dishonest team at the minute........players great at running forward and happy to do the flashy things, but not enough doing the fundamentals and hard things well enough!

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
